When did a main dish from an Indian takeaway become £14 without rice? When did it become it become impossible to get a tradie to work on your house for less than £400 a day? Why does it now cost a quid an hour in electriciy to have 3 people existing in a small house in the evening? What the hell happened to being able to just get by?

There was a point in the Russian invasion of Ukraine where they disrupted a gasline that exported to Europe or wherever, that caused energy prices to go through the roof and exposed the UK's poor energy security. In addition to that Dizzy Lizzy and Krazy Kwarteng's economic experiment where they decided an unfunded tax cut was a good idea (despite being told by big man Rishi Sunak it was a bad idea) accelerated inflation. It's been downhill ever since. Also, what the hell are 3 people doing in a small house that's causing you to use one quid per hour? That doesn't sound like an energy price issue and more an energy use issue

This country is too corrupt and neo liberal without people noticing. It's set up to keep the rich rich and the system locked in chaos. For example if for the last 2 decades we invested more in renewables/nuclear and didn't pin energy prices to gas, we could probably have cheaper prices for everyone and greater national security by not being reliant on imported gas. Plus all the jobs it would have created etc. Lettuce Lizzy really dented us hard and all because she was trying to rob the country for her Tufton street pricks. Think tanks my arse, more like schemes to keep the rich rich. Britannia unchained is prime example out in the open. Rob the UK legally.

There are (genuine, not Russian bot) suspicions that was organised by Ukranian self-actors (i.e, not a state sanctioned operation) to reduce the export revenue Russia was getting from it's sales.

Late stage capitalism/Big wealth gap. Think of it like end of a monopoly game. Now only the rich people have everything and every time we go around the board, they are getting richer and richer, and we are getting poorer. The pace is picking up, to the point that it's causing the cost of everything to go up. The governments are being brought and working for donors who are those rich people. Paper barons of the past are now Social media tech barons. They're making the poor and middle classes fight while the government serves the rich only. Society can only work if money goes round and round. But if the money keeps building up at the top and doesn't go around, well prices of things go up, and the knock on effect keeps getting larger year by year. If it keeps going this way, we will be in Victorian times or old fuedal times. Look up techno-fuedalism too

In the last ten years minimum wage has increased by 84%. Average wages have increased by about 41%. Wage compression is the answer to this question every single time someone asks it. People in the lowest paid jobs are a bit better off now and aren’t working for a pittance so things have to cost more.
