How accurate is the TV Show “The Inbetweeners” regarding the British secondary school experience?

Comprehensive is what we call the school we go to between 11-16. Before that we go to Primary schools which maybe age 4-11 or separated to 4-7 and then 7-11. At 16 we sit our gcses which are the main exams pretty much every child in England sits. All kids must take English, matchs and science and then you take about another 7 subjects such as history, drama, geography, business etc. At 16 you can leave school but you must stay in some form of education until you are 18. So this could be as an apprentice for a ahirdressess, mechanics etc where you work 4 days a week learning a skill and have 1 day of education. For this you are paid a small amount whilst you train or there are vocational courses. If you plan to go to university you tend to study for A levels which take place at either colleges (for 16-18 year olds) or sixth form like in the Inbetweeners. These are attached to schools. Most kids will study 3 subjects. So we specialise a lot earlier which has its pros and cons
