Has anyone ever had a job in an iconic/well known building? what did you do and whats it like inside?

I worked inside Blackpool Winter Gardens complex, and the building itself was pretty spectacular. The inside has been chopped and changed a lot, which has left the remnants of staircases and weird, dead-ended corridors below ground level. The unit I worked in was originally the carriage entrance, which took carriages right under the middle of the building, and it still had a sloped floor. It was also home to some art nouveau tiles, with ladies holding jewels and insects, known as the Neatby Tiles, after the artist who created them. By the time I worked there, it was a cafe and I was a server. It has been used for many other things besides, though, including being a car show room, which is how the got their lovely fully-opening frontage.
