Has anyone had problems leaving their roof boxes on their rigs all winter?

I just got a rooftop carrier (Yakima Skybox) that I plan on use next summer to keep more stuff out of my trunk so I can spend less time setting up my sleep system. I also want to use it for skiing...has anyone had any troubles because they left their carrier out all winter?

My roof box (Thule Atlantis) has been out in the PNW elements for its whole life, probably 13+ years at this point. No issues here.

Any issue getting your car serviced with the box on?

I'm a career mechanic actually so I do my own work. I've had some vehicles be a pain due to a roof box, not being able to lift the vehicle high enough, but it's a simple conversation with the customer and we take it off if needed which isn't often.
