ULPT: Getting rid of trash pandas

I feed stray cats, and I'm cool with possums and skunks, but the trash pigs steal everything piggy piggy piggy and have broken three food dishes already, beause they drag them away to pig pig pig. How do I eliminate the raccoons without hurting the other critters? They are aggressive and need to be gone.

You should stop feeding stray cats.
It's not even unethical, they're invasive.

They're only invasive if not TNRd.

A neutered cat still has an impact on the wildlife around it.
Keep your cats inside.

This thread is about stray cats who live outdoors.

Stray, Feral, Barn, Outside doesn't matter how you pitch it they're still an invasive species in the US.
They're literally one of the most damaging invasive species in the US.

And TNT helps keep the population down. Can you imagine how many there would be if TNR wasn't a thing?

A sterilized cat still interrupts native populations.
I drive past hordes of 20-50 feral cats daily. Lets not pretend like sterilization is practical or economically viable, especially when they are still a nuisance at the end of the day.
Keep your cats inside, stop feeding strays

I'm not talking about people letting their pet cats outside. The feral cat problem isn't going away. TNR helps.

Trap and release.
cjw7x@reddit
This is illegal to do in most areas because they are a vector animal.

Maybe get a trail cam? When there's movement in front of the food dishes it will ping your phone, if it's cats just watch, if it's trash pandas go out bang some pots and pans together and run them off.
Scragglymonk@reddit
stop leaving out food
shoot the trash pandas to eat or string up
PinkishRedLemonade@reddit
Don't feed anything but the cats (and TNR them). Remove any bowls after dusk, and don't put them back out until sunrise.
Something_McGee@reddit
They're called Trash Pandas for a reason.

As long as you are leaving food out, racoons will get at it. Stop leaving food out, or shoot them., which is probably illegal. Otherwise you're just going to have trash pandas.
