I finally understand

Flew an SR22T today and when we got back to the ramp there was a Cherokee taking an exorbitant amount of time in front of the pumps, immediately started grinding my teeth and thinking he needs to get that POS out of my way. It happens that quick guys. One flight is all it takes. Ye be warned.

What the fuck happened
DrRob@reddit
Don't ever admit you got angry waiting at the fuel pump waiting for the polar ice to melt
DrRob@reddit
Just linger at the hold short line on a brutally hot day next time you're ahead of him after your runup. You've got AC.
PILOT9000@reddit
Did they fix the Cirrus planes overheating on the ground on hot days?
DrRob@reddit
My trick is to flood the engine. Can't be too lean if you're flooded. taps head
dodexahedron@reddit
OK, that's just plain evil. š

Plane evil*
dodexahedron@reddit
Right (rudder) you are, good pylote.
Dry-Horror-4188@reddit
Wow! I flew in a Cirrus once, as well as a A36 Bonanza a bunch, a T38, P210, 182, and many other birds too numerous to name. I will still take my Cherokee, it's low maintenance costs, and its reliability any day. Especially flown by a judgmental Cirrus Pilot.

Guys Iām completely joking, sorry if that didnāt come through I should have added the /s
ElPayador@reddit
SO⦠Cirrus pilots are like Porsche drivers?
kytulu@reddit
BMW...
BillySpacs@reddit
Have you driven a porsche? I was loaned a 911 for a few days. I went on a 10 hour road trip through the mountains and desert. You start to believe it's your car and you act like it... real tough getting back into my 20 year old truck after that lmao
DaveTheW1zard@reddit
How many Cherokees could that guy have owned to pay for one Cirrus? Maybe that was his third string aircraft
Mr-Plop@reddit
It's funny people like to shit on cirrus, I fly over densely populated areas constsntly and more than once I think "if I had an engine failure atm I'll be on top of a house, I'm fucked, if I had a chute I'd be less fucked".
dodexahedron@reddit
A couple of the 172S models I flew in flight school had parachutes too. š¤·āāļø
The real flex is the AC.
I don't think anyone shits on the planes, though. SR22Ts are objectively nice planes.
Mr-Plop@reddit
Look at you. What are you tell me next? They had working autopilots? š
I would definitely spend on a chute if I owned a plane capable of it.
dodexahedron@reddit
In those planes, it cost you like 120lbs of usable payload and at least one of them was also only a 3-seater because of the space it took up. The other probably was, too, but I don't remember.
appenz@reddit
They are great planes. If you doubt that, just look at the sales statistics. Most Cirrus owners are actually pretty normal, but there is a subset that has a entitled mentality.
appenz@reddit
Cirrus gives free training to people buying a Cirrus (even a used one). You really should have learned this in the transition training.

Keep in mind I flew to the cirrus in a 30k 150 with the paint peeling off the wings

Look at this guy with his āpaintā.

Polished Aluminum, as Howard Hughes intended.

Offer to help. Our airportās pump is confusing to visitors.
derdubb@reddit
Donāt forget where you came from!
pisymbol@reddit
I assumed you just pulled the chute.
baby-shart@reddit
Pulling CAPS while on the ground is a real power move.
Hot_Indication470@reddit (OP)
Seriously considered it
Hot_Indication470@reddit (OP)
This is why I love flying, always helpful advice
Chemtrailcreator@reddit
I taught in Cirrus for several years when the flight school I worked at became an official Cirrus training locationā¦.from my experience, especially with new owners, this doesnāt surprise me in the slightest.
