Ride out CFI or get a 135 job?

So I’m currently sitting just shy of 1000 TT. I’m a full time instructor but have the possibility to MAYBE find a 135 right seat position. My end goal is the airlines for sure unless I end up liking the corporate world. Anyway people have told me just stick out CFI until 1500 instead of going 135. Any advice?

I’m at 900TT, I have 116hr turbine PIC, CMEL CSEL CFII and I can’t even get an interview. No dui, no criminal history, veteran.
Still can’t even get an interview for a 135, no interviews for flight schools either.
If you’re building time fast as a CFI and your goal is to build time fast, you won’t get as many hours a month working 135. King airs over here average 1-3 hour flights 4 times a week, sometimes 6-8 hour flights but those are about 6 times a month, I was flying for 6 different tails, owner passengers at a 91 but I had to stop because I wasn’t getting paid.
I loved the 135 gig and you’re still going to be a student.
Try to do both of them part time if your company allows it.

Best advice I received when I was getting going with aviation was to start flying something burning Jet A as soon as you can. I’d go to the 135 gig when you can unless the number of hours you’ll fly are really low each month.

If you can get a job at a 135 that is not sketchy and it’s opspecs require two pilots so you can log the time then go for it. They are rare for low time guys but they exist.

Anecdotally, I've heard that some regional airlines don't want turbine time because you are then "over-qualified" for them and they want to teach you how to fly a jet their way.

This is what I’ve heard

I'm in similar predicament but have about twice the hours. I've looked for 135 jobs but cannot find anything. All those jobs seem to be driven purely by networking.

Yea my spot is a strong network I happen to know a 135 instructor who knows literally everyone

I have had a Piedmont recruiter tell me that they like to see turbine time.
Dependent-Place-4795@reddit
I have over 1K turbine and never heard a peep from Piedmont

Go 135 if you don’t want it send me the info.

Try for anything and everything

Multi turbine Time in all kinds of air space VS flying a clapped single piston and doing the same maneuvers over and over again. Easy choice
LikenSlayer@reddit
Who would you hire? The guy with 500hrs flying in the pattern, or 500 multi time filing in actual IMC, filing, and some CRM just to start.
No brainer!
SSMDive@reddit
If you stick it out to 1500 (which is not going to get you anywhere now anyway)... What would separate you from the other 200 1500 hour CFI's? Why would they choose you over the other 200?
Any experience that is going to set you apart in a good way will only help you. Staying and doing another 500 hours of the exact same thing you have done for the last 750 is only doing you one thing... Getting you to 1500.
Beergoggles222@reddit
Assuming you're going to get turbine time and the pay is likely better, why wouldn't you take it? Why are people telling you to stick it out as a CFI? Not really enough info to provide any advice.

Not sure tbh I just get told that. That’s kind of why I’m asking here

You won’t why hired at 1,500 unless you have hundreds of hours of multi so if the 135 job gets you that, take it.
