The fact that these English fucks have the gall to criticize American food is insane.
These people are mentally Ill, every summer they come out and complain about 75 degree weather as if it's hell on Earth. They went from a superpower to a laughing stock in just a few decades, they don't deserve life.
American food can be good. It'll just give you a heart attack.
But I think the issue is American vs British cultural difference - Americans will only post or talk about something when they think it's really good or impressive. Brits thrive on mediocrity and hate boastfulness, and will happily post the most boring 5 minute lazy plate sustenance to make fun of themselves or as a nostalgia hit.
Americans then assume the Brit is being serious about their plate of slop being peak cuisine because they don't understand the British desire to not be special.
Nah thanks. Did you read my comment? Not saying we eat gourmet every day. Just letting you know that Brits are far more likely to show you the unfiltered and boring reality of daily life, like the deep fried butter on a stick you had for lunch.
"American food" nah this is valid in many English-speaking places, definitely in NZ. Sure, carbs-on-carbs with sweetened tomato sauce and tea isn’t exactly healthy but nobody’s knocking it unless it's a daily ritual. Valid, classic student-level meal.
Yeah bro I can handle 45c easy, it's simple actually:
- wake-up in my air conditioned house made of paper and plaster.
- walk 12ft then get in my air conditioned car
- Drive 2hrs to work (fucking kek)
- go inside my air conditioned work
- reverse
I literally have lived in a house without AC during 90°+ getting grounded for doing stupid shit, unable to leave the house with only an oscillating fan to keep cool
... How many Americans die from temperature? Are your numbers per capita? Europe is significantly more populous than the USA, and a lot of Europe is legitimately pretty poor. Stupid ass comparison.
WHO and the UN say 175,000 Europeans die due to heat annually, with a population of 744,000,000. This accounts for 0.0235% of the population. Or 2.35 out of 10,000 people.
US gun violence accounted for ~47,000 deaths in 2023 source, out of a population of 335,000,000. This accounts for 0.014% of the population, or about 1.4 out of 10,000 people. That figure also includes suicides.
95 is hot, but doable. Especially if you have been outside since morning while the temperature gradually rises. The heat is more annoying than anything else, and so is the sunburn. But keeling over and dying from it is not something that happens often here. When you get to temps above 100 (especially with humidity) then it starts to become legit dangerous
Fallacy? Do construction workers and other trades of manual labor not exist in places like arizona, new mexico or southern California? Or even the natives who lived in those places before AC was invented. Plenty of people can legitimately deal with high temperatures, europoors are just pussies

Yall literally start dying as soon as it’s 80f outside, then you have the absolute audacity to poke fun at our technology that lets us live comfortably in 110F heat?
Just buy a window unit bro, they are like 150 bucks on Amazon ffs. You don’t have to suffer just because you’re British.
-American food is objectively better
-English people, despite having the most mild weather on Earth act like they live in hell
-the UK went from a superpower to a non-player on the world stage in just a few decades
All of these statements are as close to being objectively true as they can
American food is just corn syrup done 50 different ways. British food isn't the best, admittedly. But we actually use real ingredients, and a lot of it can be pretty damn comforting on a dull winter day. Shit like beans on toast is just poor/lazy people food. It's like saying Asian food is bad the second you see someone eat rice & ketchup.
English heat is humid as fuck, and most buildings don't have any sort of AC. So damn fucking right I'm gonna complain about the heat. Maybe I should take the piss out of all the southern Americans who cry about the cold when it hits 15C.
I'll give you that one. We've lost a lot over the past 100 years. But maybe your insult would hit a lot harder if you weren't using the language of the very country you're trying to talk shit about. Our cultural impact is still making waves even today.
Food is a matter of preference, people complain about the weather no matter where they're from (I've heard people from Costa Rica, China, Egypt, Israel, UAE, NZ, Malaysia, most EU countries and Canada say it, quite a representative sample), and the last is just not true. Still a nuclear power, still a permanent unsc member.
you say all this an you lot can't even go outside without a coat, jumper an wooly hat in 15c! All the food is processed junk and full of shit that gives you cancer so your food can't legally be sold in half the countries on the planet. Your schools are inadequate as fuck, and kinda like a child safari where you can pick a school at random an just go an hunt children, and to top it all off, you all fucking drove Ellen to move here!!! That on its own is enough to warrant any hatred.
Good europoor rage bait. The best part is they can’t even go “at least i don’t get shot in me maths class” cuz they lose more due to not having AC than we do to guns
There is no need. I just saw people raving about it once and remembered when I was making beans one time. Tried it and thought it tasted really good together. Totally get not needing to consider it breakfast food.

A week ago I was on a business trip in London. Stayed at this mom's and pop's tiny hotel. Was asked if I'd like the traditional English breakfast. I said yes out of curiosity. What I got was the saddest looking plate you could imagine. It looked like they cracked an egg onto the plate, threw in the 2 tiniest and most meatless sausages, poured some beans over it and just microwaved it for 2 minutes. I used to think 4chan was trolling on bong food just for the lulz but I saw the truth with my own eyes. I wanted to try some fish and chips too, but after that I just went for a Big Mac. Sorry Bongs, I tried.
Same energy as a the flag shagger on the streets of London. This is what their English utopia looks like. Might as well scream "Bring back the plague" while they're at it.

Check_Me_Out-Boss@reddit
Like 2,300/year in a country of 335,000,000.
WHO and the UN say 175,000 Europeans die due to heat annually, with a population of 744,000,000. This accounts for 0.0235% of the population. Or 2.35 out of 10,000 people.

Since roughly 2,300 people die from heat in the US annually in a country of 335,000,000, it doesn't move the dial very much, even if we added it on top of gun deaths (including suicides).
It would be about 1.49 out of 10,000 people instead of 1.4, while Europe (without gun violence added) is still 2.35 out of 10,000

You’ve got roundup in your cereals (glyphosate herbicide) in all your grains.
