I dispatch PD and Fire and used to do that in a Colorado town. We had a guy named "Bible" Bob. He would preach at people and was generally so harmless and so well known to the populace that the convenient stores allowed him to preach and gave him free water and soda.

In '15 his whole demeanor changed and he started to become violent and it was all because of one event: Trump came to our town to speak at our convention hall which was next door to his favorite store. Apparently the Secret Service gave him a very rough time and he ended up not in the state hospital where he belonged, but the county jail.

After that his preaching changed from loving Christ and Christ's dad to hollering about current events and the end days he was convinced were upon us. At first it was funny because he refused all drinks and would only ask for a copy of USA Today but the closer it got to the election the more he homed in on only politics.

Right after the election he went completely off the reservation of reality and started breaking windows. Houses, cars, businesses mostly. Bob was put in the state hospital and died there a few years later. He was only 50 or 51.

We still talk about Bob.
