Get this Savior case. Its perfect for this rifle

That is nice, On your speed loader, you can use a Sharpie to add a line level.
BackgroundBuilding77@reddit
Thats a good suggestion. I might have to do that.
I also thought of cutting them down, marker would be less permanent.
Psychological-Drive4@reddit
Cut down would fit better in a bag. Thought about the same thing, but realized I could not recreate the locking tabs

These are actually pretty hard to find normally (Henry only tools up a very limited run like maybe once a year if that) which would have made this BIN by default when this was the only suppressor-ready 22LR lever action available.
But at the beginning of this year both Rossi released the Rio Bravo (10rd tube like this but offset further apart from the 16" barrel where it clears a can), and Rock Island Armory/Deyra Arms dropped the TM22LA20 (20" barrel with faux tube that takes 25rd detachable box mags) which make this kind of obsolete.
Both are <$300 but the Rossi is way more practical if noticeably cheaper feeling, while the TM22LA20 is arguably just as solidly built as the Henry but the optic mounting situation is exponentially better (Henry is just a dust cover) and the lever throw is only \~45° (Henry/Rossi is 90°). The 25rd banana mags are a blessing too while also make the gun look cursed but you also get LRBHO which is nice on a rimfire.

You can buy a picatinny rail that attaches via screw. I have a lpvo on my Henry frontier.
Foxxy__Cleopatra@reddit
Problem isn't getting an optic mounted, it's maintaining zero since what looks like just a normal receiver is actually a cheap piece of stamped sheet metal that's secured to the actual receiver via two frankly lousy screws. All Henry 22LR models are notorious for losing zero because of this construction. Should be fine for most people if you baby the thing and are just trying to hit minute-of-nutria with a dot or something. If you're always able to verify zero beforehand it honestly shouldn't be an issue, but I personally wouldn't trust it otherwise.
Comfortable-Case-686@reddit
I've never lost zero with it. You obviously have no idea what I'm talking about. The rail slides onto the reciever via the grooves on top and then is secured by a screw. Very solid lock up.
Foxxy__Cleopatra@reddit
What you're calling the "receiver" isn't the receiver. It's a glorified dust cover.
If you've ever cleaned it you know that the actual receiver doesn't even rise up over top of the bolt.
One of these might have a solid lockup with the dust cover, but the dust cover doesn't necessarily always have a solid lockup with the barrel.

I don't know man. I've had a sig romeo 5 on mine with a hm3x. Now I'm currently running a vortex venom lpvo and I've never had to re zero it. But if I ever have to do I'll know why.
Foxxy__Cleopatra@reddit
I'm sure there's thousands upon thousands of people who've both actually mounted an optic to their rimfire Henry and have never had a zero-shift issue.
Doesn't change the fact that this is the single most reported grievance with this series of firearms.
Doesn't mean I'll personally trust it any farther than I could punt it.
And it really doesn't change my original point of simply stating that the mounting method on the RIA is just more stable than the Henry.

description says 22 short
CharlieThermopilus@reddit
It can shoot 22 short, long, and long rifle
swoope18@reddit
That’s good to know
BackgroundBuilding77@reddit
It can take shoot shorts. Shorts are loader than cci quiet variety and some other subsonic rounds though..
You can also load more shorts
mustymarshmellow@reddit
That is a longg rifle before you screw on a suppressor
TheBlackComet@reddit
Yeah it is kind of crazy how long it is, but the nice thing is that you always get a full powder burn. I can't even tell the difference between CCI quiets and standard velocity because the extra length always keeps them subsonic.
Thaknobodi87@reddit
22lr finishes burning at average 16 inches off rifling. Any longer than 20 you slow down due to drag.
TheBlackComet@reddit
Yep, that is why I go for long barrels in my .22 bolt and lever action guns. I want them to be movie quiet. My bolt action is a custom made L96 trainer with a 24" barrel.

Nice, pictures?

Learned something new.

I don't know man, "this is my Henry H001TSPR" doesn't really roll off the tongue. Starting to sound like Monitor model numbers.
BackgroundBuilding77@reddit
I call it Henry Frontier with threaded barrel..
There is a version of this without the threaded barrel.
LargeMachines@reddit
Henry can do better than that. Call it a Whip Tail or something.
ice445@reddit
I have one of these, its pretty sweet. That frontier barrel is heavy though. Keep that in mind if you get it for younger shooters
