How Many More CFI’s Produced Post Covid Vs Pre Covid

From what I’m seeing here online there’s quite a bit more, maybe due to the “flashy” lifestyle influencers share. To me it’s a job with cool perks, and being in an office in a sky. Money is cool too but mostly passion (I make a decent salary at my desk job) but is a nice perk of the job. Started my PPL this month

Here's Jason Blair's blog post on the topic.
2023 and 2024 are essentially 2x from some years before, with increases on the way. I'll be curious to see what 2025 and eventually 2026 look like.
The FAA releases tons of stats on certificates and medicals. u/RaiseTheDed has linked to that.

Thank you

It looks very bad for future hiring. So many people Jumped into the industry and the economy is slowing now.

What’s the point of this post ?

Post Covid hiring boom for the airlines, influx of CFI’s with 2k hrs not being able to find an airline job, bad economy plus I’m Canadian I think I’m cooked. A lot more CFI’s are being brewed compared to post covid I think and delays on Boeing fulfilling orders
I’m looking for hope and motivation lol

Why are you worried about 1500hrs for US CFIs if you’re not in that country? Game is different in Canada.
F1shermanIvan@reddit
You’re Canadian? Well then who cares what the the US does for pilots.
You want a job here these days? You’re gonna have to work hard, like we all did ten, twenty years ago.
The amount of people who refuse to leave home, take a hard first job, etc…. I guess you don’t want it that badly.

This subreddit is patient zero for negativity if you want hope leave this subreddit for awhile. I do that a lot because I need a break lol. It's brutal but honest

More than one, less than 10,000,000.
Is there a real question here?
ForeignSaint69@reddit (OP)
A lot more competitive now vs pre Covid to make it to the airlines
DefundTheHOA_@reddit
It’s really not though
TxAggieMike@reddit
That is more of a declarative statement (that is well known)

Money? As a CFI? LOL
ForeignSaint69@reddit (OP)
My bad, road to the airlines not cfi
BuzzTheTower12@reddit
I don’t think he’s talking about working as a CFI, but rather as an airline pilot.
Additional_Shoe8605@reddit
Hopefully, otherwise he is going to be in for a rude awakening

😂

The FAA has data on this.
