Technically not a grammar issue, but I get what you mean. I don't know if I agree with you on that fully, but I think there are worse crimes of grammar out there.

A woman I met once told me she wasn't a woman or a man, even though she was clearly a woman in looks and demeanor. I heard that she preferred to be referred to as "any," pronouns but secret got mad at you if you called her a her. Sometimes she preferred to be literally objectified and be referred to as an it. Somehow that's very progressive and not grade A misogyny. And oh yeah, she's publicly a misandrist.

I knew someone who was dating a girl who wanted to be neither too. He called her a her all the time accidentally and she would playfully (should I put quotes around that?) hit him. She wasn't fooling anyone but she was very nice.

It doesn't seem like anyone is taking it to heart, people are just playing along so you get your oppression points. The fact that there's no justification for it makes it obvious it's just a badge they put on. I don't remember who was talking about it, maybe Jordan Peterson, but college kids in expensive schools love those little badges. The funny thing is they'll claim to be androgynous because you don't have to prove anything, but these kids will be very self conscious about being lower class. They hide from their peers that they aren't going on their dad's boat over the weekend, but they are willing to tell you what they do in the bedroom.

It's funny that we've ended up with two competing groups - the flexible gender binary vs the gender spectrum - and both will get mad if you use the other's preference.

If you call a "non-binary" trans person he/she rather than they, you're denying their identity as neither male or female. But if you call a binary trans person they rather than he/she, you're purposefully refusing to refer to them as their preferred gender.

They're competing theories about sex and gender. If gender is just a cultural norm and a spectrum, how can a person be physically male but have a female brain - the basis of gender dysphoria? In the non-binary school of thought, that person is just not following gender norms and trans people will get pissed off about being told they're not a real man/woman and that their feelings aren't valid.

I'm more willing to accept trans people because they identify, try to look like, and act like the other gender. I've seen a lot of evidence there are structures in the brain that develop wrong in the womb. So there's at least a scientific theory explaining that.

I still don't get the people who think they're neither. Very rarely do you see a person claim they are such and they act androgynous. They're still going to have normal sex hormones and be influenced by that, it's not a switch you can ignore. Its just a corruption of Jung's theory on the anima / animus.

Funny thing is I saw advice on daily calories that had a recommendation for non binary people and it was just the midway point of the male and female ones. Really? Coming to the realization you're neither means you don't have to play by the normal rules of health advice either? Depending on your actual gender they're telling you to eat too much or too little which defeats the purpose altogether.

You are more right than you think. I tried to help her since she publicly displays her suicidal ideation and she likely has some sort of trauma around men. She has a thing against one on one stuff which is why she's dating multiple people. I tried to be concerned and that got both of us nowhere. To quote Nirvana, I think she likes "the comfort of being sad."

So I did excuse a lot of it or try to stay neutral because I thought she was a hurt person who needed an actual friend, but slowly things got eaten away. The current events around Kirk haven't helped either. In our niche one person was appalled, one retweeted one thing dancing on his grave, and all the other heavy lefties did nothing. She on the other hand has been non stop retweeting disinformation and grave dancing. I even saw she retweeted an anti semitic conspiracy theory.

I'll try my best to get on with things and be better than this person, you're right. I wish it was something I could have admitted sooner.

Puritanical gets used in religious contexts a lot, but you can use it in moral contexts too.

I have been thinking about how classic Christian eccentricities are manifesting in the modern progressive movement without anyone noticing. It's almost like these people need God or the framework the church provided but they reinvented it. Like in the past people were fine with you not desiring sex or romance so long as you were a monk/ priest, but now they have to identify as asexual to find the same peace.

But you definitely see people have a strict moral code that means certain people have certain rights, others have too much, certain people can say certain words, etc. Everyone has to have a flag they can identify with and follow behind, but it's not a national symbol so it's technically not fascism (though you should look up the etymology of fascist and British cigarette lol). Everyone can self identify with certain grammatical rules and people have to follow it because 2+2=5.

Just in case you ever need it, guide to making apps think you're a different person:

The most foolproof way is to reset your IP. Just unplug your router when you go to sleep and you will likely have a new IP when you wake up; some ISPs will give you a static IP, but that's uncommon. It usually costs extra iirc. Not sure, I've never had nor needed one.

Ideally in conjunction with that, if you're on android, clear the app data in your settings and uninstall the app. You can use a work profile to make apps think you're a different person if all else fails. If you're on Windows, simply clear your cookies. This will mostly prevent them from telling who you are via your browsing method. If this fails for android as mentioned before, the work profile essentially gives your device new identifying information for that profile. For MacOS and iOS I have no idea, I don't use them but where there's a will, there's a way.

You can also install newer or older versions of the app in question. I've found this to be helpful.

Making accounts on incognito windows on PC now and farming some positive engagement, whatever that looks like on the site, then switching to those accounts when you need to will help in fooling the system.

This is just a general guide for maintaining internet anonymity, definitely don't do it for this site ever especially if you get banned because ban evasion is very very bad, it's somewhere between mass murder and running over pigeons for fun on a badness scale.
