Fall to Winter Food availability and/or prices

There have been some posts in other reddits about not being able to find some food items at stores (canned chickpeas for one), and additionally the cost of groceries have increased significantly this year - and this isnt taking into consideration the US harvest season.
Does anyone feel that we will be having shortages in the semi near future? I have some food preps but I'm worried about not having enough. I wonder what other people are seeing in their areas and their thoughts about the remainder of the year.

Your post has been removed because it is not focused on the topic of emergency preparedness and is not based on credible sources. There are no reputable sources reporting food shortages in the United States, and Reddit posts are not reliable sources for this, especially given the unfortunate trend of bad-faith actors falsely reporting shortages to create panic or self-fulfilling prophecies, such as the infamous empty-ports hoax on TikTok or the Reddit user on this subreddit earlier this summer who kept falsely claiming that all the gas stations in certain areas had run out of fuel.
As an additional fact-based consideration, the current year-over-year inflation rate for groceries in the United States is 3.2%, far less than the corresponding rate in recent years such as 2021 (6.3%) and 2022 (10.4%), and there were no food shortages in the United States in those years either.

I’ve not seen any shortages yet. But prices are sky rocketing.
