Should I put AI-related experience on my resume or not?

I'm applying for jobs (yay layoffs/offshoring), and came across a job description that specifically calls out skills in prompt engineering and bias mitigation when using LLMs.
In the past 2-ish years, i've been working DataAnnotation (essentially training and validating AI models) as a side hustle for some extra money. This and the above JD got me thinking, is all that work something that would be valuable to have on my resume or would it scare employers off? I've done plenty of work on there that is coding related (getting models to provide better code), and non-coding/bias mitigation (testing guardrails on models to see if they stay on track etc).
Part of me feels this is valuable to have, since in most of my initial phone screens companies have been pretty on-board with using AI tools. But also being online the "ai bad" sentement everywhere gives me pause.
Not sure if anyone else has been in this scenario but I'm curious to hear from people who either have done something similar, or who have seen AI related items on a resume when hiring.

Rule 3: No General Career Advice
This sub is for discussing issues specific to experienced developers.
Any career advice thread must contain questions and/or discussions that notably benefit from the participation of experienced developers. Career advice threads may be removed at the moderators discretion based on response to the thread."
General rule of thumb: If the advice you are giving (or seeking) could apply to a “Senior Chemical Engineer”, it’s not appropriate for this sub.

It's definitely the rage right now. But I'd be nervous about taking any exclusively AI work right now, particularly in startups. The economy does seem to be slowing down and I think some of the first things to go is going to be a whole lot of AI startups kept alive by the bubble.
That being said there are so many hiring companies right now that are prioritizing AI in their business. It benefits you to have that experience on your resume.

I think it makes sense to have it on your resume when you apply for that job listing, then remove it when applying for positions that do not mention AI in their description.
