Does anyone have any of the small diameter Sterno can products? Their web site has length, width and height? apparently I am too dumb to understand which one of those are diameter...I have called and left message twice and no response...
Thanks you

Just looking it up on Amazon shows a diameter of 3.25 inches.

I think you need a better description of what you’re looking at (and for) than just “large” and “small”. I went looking at what I thought was your “small” (2.25 hour burn time vs 6 hours for the 3.25 inch one) and it had a larger diameter (3.38 inches) than the first one!

to save space = heat until liquid and pour about 6 together into one can ......

I have never tried that...I have tried to make it which wasn't very successful...was way to thin...

If they are listing Length, Width, and Height of a can then they are giving you the dimensions of the cube it would fit in. If two of the dimensions match that should be the Diameter, Length and Width would be most logical with height being the actual height of the Can/cylinder.

I'm sure you are correct...but there are three dims...

Storage/transportation space is determined but square inches/feet. This is true even if the item being stored or transported is a cylinder or sphere.
Imagine a circle inside of a square...the two matching dimensions are the sides of the square...and thus the diameter of the can. The one that doesn't match the other two is the height of the can.

Hy LJA, Im planning on making a "cook/heat" semi disposable kit...I have a supply of cans that are about 3-1/8" ID x 6-1/2 long...with a plastic snap on lid will have 1 small sterno and a cup to cook in and something to eat...would use it maybe 6>9 times during one outing then jettison....I sent another email to Sterno....also working on and all metal version of the alcohol heater with the coiled copper wick...The ones pele make from ball jars seem to work ok, but I want something that can't break and leave glass shards around.

Cube for what?
HalcyonKnights@reddit
Not a physical cube, just the 3d cube of space defined by Length, width and depth measurements
