Did anyone else grow watching the 1970s kids TV show Mr Benn?

It was a show that was a huge part of my childhood growing up and still is to this day with me being 18 years old. The whole show had this charm to it that always made me feel extremely relaxed that the second I'd see it I would instantly enjoyed it and the music itself is also fantastic too. Fun fact me and by brother loved the show so much that we dressed up like him on World Book Day in Year 1 where I was the regular Mr Benn character and my brother was the Red Knight which was one of the episodes. Its sudh a charming show that I watch every night before bed and it for me never loses its charm

The guy that did the voice for Mr Benn, Ray Brooks, just died last month

He also voiced another classic from the time King Rollo, and, iirc, the later Pigeon Street

I did, and remember it incredibly fondly as part of my childhood.
As an adult, something about the wilful escapism seems quite... appealing :)

All of us of a certain age, I think. It was so, so good.
I’m 49 and will watch an episode here and there just for nostalgia value.

I saw him fight Chris Eubank at Old Trafford in 1993.
