r/Dallas, what's your favorite gas station food?

Inspired by a post in r/FortWorth, other than Fuel City (if you haven't tried it try it), what are some of the best gas station food offerings in D?
ApprehensiveAnswer5@reddit
Not a gas station but the hot food at Don’s convenience store on Carroll near Fair Park is solid.

Taqueria Tocumbo - 2431 W Walnut St, Garland, TX 75042
Used to live over there and this is the best I have found in the area. CASH ONLY. Pastor is very good with pineapples and incredible.

Montes Burritos. It's stupid Far North Dallas but amazing. I would eat there every day if I lived closer.

I’ve never gotten anything besides the Montes burrito but that bad boy never fails so I’d image everything else is probably delicious too

AwHellNawFetaCheese@reddit
The superior of the La Banqueta locations
oArete@reddit
I used to live in the apts across the road. I'd go on a run, and stop by on my way home. If it was the weekend, I'd get an horchata and add vodka.
liberal_texan@reddit (OP)
La Banqueta is solid.
External-Signal-7473@reddit
There's no answer other than your local gas station abuelas tacos. You have one close to you, you just need to find it. Mas Cilantro y onion por favor, squeeze of lime..

Yup. I'll admit I'll drop in for a sausage egg taquito in the AM or if it's dinner, a brisket one with a buffalo roller and a tea and I'm good.
Total-Lingonberry952@reddit
QT is far superior to the racetrac taquitos.

The breakfast tacos at The Green Spot. Hard for me to drive by without stopping. They’re in a little hot container at the register so you just go in and grab one.
soggyballsack@reddit
Fuel city tacos are below mediocre. If those are your best tacos then you need to go back to hard shell tacos and start over.

QT has walking tacos. Basically a bag of Doritos/Fritos made to dump chili and cheese in with all of the condiments from the hot dog bar. It's around $5
SirSpanksAlot1992@reddit
You can do this and get a regular bag of chips. Always do that instead to get more product. The flaming hot Fritos done up hits so hard if you’re high

La Salsa Verde in a Chevron(I think it’s Chevron). It’s in the parking lot of an El Rancho that has some of the best elote too.

Love that spot. They have several locations that aren't in gas stations that have more seating and bigger menus.
liberal_texan@reddit (OP)
Oh there's one on Hampton. I'll have to try it.
MysteryMooseMan@reddit
honestly would be hard pressed to find a bad taco from any gas station taqueria
pradafever@reddit
I’m a sucker for Dippin’ Dots at 7/11 convenience stores and gas stations. The perfect treat.
Sticky_Gravity@reddit
Not long ago the chevron off Marsalis and 35 (next to the zoo) had amazing food. Their burgers, the beef, bean and cheese burritos, turkey legs were good just about anything on the menu they had was good.
Now it’s just horrible, the original owner Alan sold a couple years back due to his sick wife. The people who took over remodeled it, added those gaming machines, changed the menu by adding a lot of new items.
It’s overpriced as hell now, I swear the gas pumps don’t pump the correct amount cause I always get different amount for the same price. The food is burnt, the chimichangas are fried 4x since no one buys them anymore.
Crunk_Kookaburra@reddit
Fuel City CH is horrible because its just some kids working at Little Caeser's Pizza and a taco joint

The pizza at 7/11 is hit or miss. It can be really decent if you cop it within like 1-2hrs, if it's been sitting out it's gonna be shitty and burnt.
