I little over a month ago I found this kitten that appeared to be blind so I picked her up cleaned her eye turned out it was just eye boogers I found a home but the she got hypothermia and I needed to treat her and she looked like she was going to pass away but survived but one of her eyes became just a bit infected.. I monitored her and brought her back to health. Few days later I left my house in the morning to help my brother with a babysitting because of an emergency when I came back her eye had become swollen and blind! She still acts like normal eats, plays, and sleeps well but I can’t keep her :(( I have been cleaning her eye and putting eye wash but I know she needs medical attention! Please anyone know where I can take her and drop her off ?? I’m pregnant and due in 2 weeks keeping her for good isn’t an easy option for me even though I really am in love with her !

If you can keep fostering while the kitten gets treatment then rescues are more inclined to help you. It is just hard for them to find fosters.

How do I submit a request to receive help if I foster her? I just want her eye to get treated and get help! I have an other cat myself that I have had over a year so I have the essentials!

When you email them tell them you are willing to foster her during treatment that you are just seeking financial and medical help for her. They have vets they work with and will be able to get you set up. Where are you located?

I’m located at the Irving/Dallas Texas Area!

Oh and I asked because I am over near Rockwall and could give you names for local ones out here but they just stick to this area.

Ok. Do a search for rescues in your area, while Operation kindness and the cat lady are awesome they are big. Also call your city shelter and tell them and they will have local rescues for you to call.

Yeah, that's your cat.
Never ever ever ever take an animal into your home unless you're prepared to keep it. Call yourself a rescuer, a foster, a temporary home, a pet sitter for a friend (but she said she would come back), whatever. Pride yourself on your empathy, kindness, sure. Try your best to find that perfect forever home. I wish you luck. But everyone (including the animals) is better off when we all understand: an animal in your home is your animal. I'll gladly take those downvotes now, thanks.

One question: I really want a cat in my life-however if I should get to infirm Later is there any organization who could place the cat for continued care ( re home) I can’t say for sure how many yrs I have left but given the longetivity I am concerned…

Texas A&M has this program: https://www.txamfoundation.com/News/No-Place-Like-Stevenson.aspx. It's not a cheap program.

I have care credit and used to have pet insurance for our cat that was 17 yrs old before losing her…

Check out the Dallas cat lady. I think she’s on instagram or maybe has a website? Plenty of foster organizations around! Good on you for caring for this sweet thing!

I always recommend operation kindness, I’ve adopted all of my pets from them and they’re very sweet and do medical stuff for their animals. I don’t know if they’re currently accepting but I’d definitely give them a call!
