it's not a pussy move to accept that these are the tactics the other side is willing to use and decide the game is the game. if i want to play chess by the rules, and you're intent on slight of handing every pawn into a queen, i can be against it and still decide that at this point, i have to match your level of dishonesty to have a chance of winning. it doesnt make me a hypocrite to not want to lose and decide oh well these people are gonna do this i have to be willing to do the same. it's the other side forcing the issue and the right reacting to it with the same. if the left hadn't done it in the first place, than we could criticize the right for "censorship" once they do it. but the left has been telling us for years that getting fired isn't censorship and "freedom of speech isnt freedom of consequences" and getting fired or assaulted is a reasonable consequence for distasteful speech, so at some point you can keep letting them have their special abilities you're too principled to use, or you can go ahead and use them yourself.
