worried I may have accidently fucked my frame

01 mustang, when jacking it up, i guess i had it in fhe wrong place (was under the assumption anywhere on that steel rail was fair game, i guess not) and ghe frame (i know itnisnt techjically called that on unibody cars) is now slightly bent in that spot. i didnt even think it was an issue til i saw someone talking about it in another sub, and now it has me paranoid

I did the same thing on one of my cars. Put a jack stand under that thing that looks like a frame rail just ahead of my rear tire. Caved the damn thing in. I took it to an alignment shop and showed them. They said it was still aligned and it usually doesn't matter.

Did the same thing on my ‘96. It’s fine. Whoever worked on it before me did the same and it aligned perfectly

im glad lol, having to do a whole engine swap is already bad enough, add in frame repair, and i wouldn't throw the car thru someone's window

they closed as good as they did beforee hand, which wasnt good at all lol. rear quarter panel by the door latch is bent on the driver side, so it dont close very goodly, but it still closes, which is goood enough

I don't think you'll damage the frame by jacking. It would have to be some impact like the car fell off the jack on to something damaging. But you should definitely be careful where you jack a car though...you can still cause serious damage or the car could fall when someone is under it 😯 Be smart.

Post pics of the area of concern. I've had a couple of this generation. Slightly bent is probably a non issue.

that make sme feel much better lol. i dont see any exposed metal, just thoiught i should ask before the chassis fucking falls out from under me on the interstate one day lol
