Smart Beavis was able to do so and the universe is still fine. It’s probably more just some kind of divine punishment placed upon Beavis and Butthead for the sins they committed in a past life. Or a curse placed upon them solely for the cruel bemusement of entities beyond their dimension. (Cough, cough.) Akin to Sisyphus and his boulder; an impossible task that will never be finished. Not because doing so would end the universe, but because the end of their torment would mean them earning a peace that higher powers perceive as undeserving.
