Yes, that would also be qualified in oldies.

Lol. I was quoting All The Small Things, not referring to the song Say It Ain't So by Weezer.

When 104.3 in NYC area started playing Nirvana and Pearl Jam like 10 years ago I instantly aged 50 years.

Everyone knows rock attained perfection in 1974. It's a scientific fact.

Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall hadn’t released yet, so that’s literally impossible.

It’s bizarre I have gone from identifying with Bart, to Homer… to more with Abe.
View on Reddit #66329142

Apprehensive_Hat8986@reddit

I pretty much always identified more with Abe. I think he's one of the more grounded characters on the show.

This is chronologically equivalent to us listening to Stairway To Heaven in high school.

I remember that being called *Classic Rock*. Oldies were 60’s soul, Elvis, and the like.

Yeah that’s right. Probably more so the 50’s. Anything post-Jazz up to the 70’s, it seems.

Imagine it's 1985 and you tell people you're going to see Bill Haley and The Comets. You're going to an oldies show.

Dude, Xennials weren't even 10 in '85. Concerts?!?
View on Reddit #66334509

NonCorporealEntity@reddit

It's was a simile. A made up example to highlight the time difference compared to today. For most of us, oldies are the music from the 50s and 60s, so I chose a 50s band that most people here would call an oldie band.

In the 80s, 50s music was considered oldies. It's 2025. 1995 is oldie goldie now.
