Have you been affected by the Tube strikes?

I'm so sorry to see Londoners' daily lives disrupted. Regardless of where in the U.K. you live, have you been affected by the TfL strikes?

This new wave of strikes reminds me of this amazing song

Oh my, this is quite a take on ye olde "modern life is rubbish" songs!
I'm assuming that Lime bikes are quite popular there now. Does your neighborhood have issues with people parking Lime bikes in places where they should not?

Made my commute to my desk in my house in the east midlands an absolute nightmare.
VisenyaRose@reddit
No. The Tube doesn't get to Merseyside.
SorbetOk1165@reddit
Nope.
As I’ve moved and now I get a train into town and then walk from the station.
When I used to live in town I would run / walk. It was 5 miles so not that difficult.
dwair@reddit
No, but there again I avoid having to go to London and haven't had to for 20 years now.

Great contribution
dwair@reddit
I answered the question honestly though.

I was in town today. Waited 45 minutes for a bus, by which time the traffic was bad, so I got out and walked.

Our daily lives are disrupted all the time for different reasons, it’s not a big deal. I had to get a train to work and a bus home instead of the tube, I think I’ll survive. I’m glad I live in a country with a few strong unions left and the ability to withhold our labour when necessary

Yes. I now have to get up at 5:45am to drive a family member to work, because they don't drive and would ordinarily take the tube and a bus. Driving is 25 mins; tube/bus is ordinarily about 50 mins (but they were self-reliant). Other option is two buses which has been taking minimum 1.5 hours on the way home for them. It's causing no end of trouble then managing my own commute and a school run (walk to school).

Not really.
I’m in London but haven’t needed to travel during the morning peak, Anita not too bad outside that
peterbparker86@reddit
I have. I've had to work from home which isn't too bad tbh
Electricbell20@reddit
Nah the closest tube station is miles away
HumorPsychological60@reddit
Not this one but in the past yes. I don't mind because I want to be able to live in a world with unions and strikes and better conditions being fought because it helps us all in the long term
