Paramount must want to actively cancel the new series by keeping it exclusively on cable so it receives poor viewership. Why else would they keep it off the app?

It really doesn’t make sense at all that they would have South Park appear on the network and then next day streaming and not the same deal for BnB, which was already on their app to begin with since the new series literally started there. Why else restrict fans (most without cable)to a timeslot and reruns of it?
Now you could say “if they didn’t want it at all they could’ve just canceled it all together”. I agree with that, but this is the same company that produced and fully completed a new season of Ren And Stimpy and shelved it all together. Quality or not that in itself makes absolutely no sense.
So my conspiracy theory is this: they want/wanted to cancel it but they had already signed a deal to make a 3rd season. And when it gets the low viewership that it certainly is getting because of this, they can say “look, one was watching it so we had to cancel it to save money”.
It isn’t like people pile up to watch South Park live, not for many years has it been that way. And if they were to hold their numbers to just cable viewers then South Park would be probably be cancelled faster than Colbert has just been, thats of course not putting their overall past and current deals with SP into account.
So if I’m right which it certainly feels that way, paramount will spend 1.5 billion dollars on a series that of course has a bigger base, but is still such cheapskates that they will actively sabotage a series in its 3rd(11th) season just so they aren’t obligated to renew it when people don’t watch it live.
Its legit sad. Especially since the new BNBs have been personally better to me than the last several years of SP.

More than likely they moved it to Comedy Central so it would get a 3rd season. That way it's expensed under the higher cash flow generated by the linear networks and can essentially be a series that has two revenues streams - linear cable and eventually streaming when it gets added to Paramount Plus in a few months. I think they should've given B&B a similar next day streaming deal like they have with South Park and their CBS shows though.
GreyBatofGotham96@reddit
Well, it was originally moved to Comedy Central because Paramount owns both MTV and Comedy Central, but right after the second movie dropped on Paramount+, they put it on there first and then showed it on Comedy Central after each episode was uploaded to the streaming service. Now, after season 2, I think, they show it on TV first, then upload it.

That's a good guess but that's not what's happening. The show is still being developed as a "new media" show (exclusively for streaming). Meaning a much lower budget and less pay and benefits required to be paid to the union crew. That combined with the fact that linear network viewership is the lowest its ever been with continued decline, I doubt you're ever going to see the show developed with traditional network support. The budget has also been slashed for the season in development.

It just bums me out that so many fans can't watch it. Life is hard these days, and B&B is an excellent respite.

I can’t find it anywhere unfortunately
No-Award8713@reddit
Have you tried watchcartoonsonline? I watch it on BeeTV apk personally.
compddd@reddit
I was able to find the torrents on EZTV just now, 1080p and no annoying ads, I put them on my Plex server.
HarryLime2016@reddit
They can watch it. If they have P+ they can wait until it's there. Or they can pay for Sling TV or cable. There are also people who have cable but not streaming (this might even be MORE people who would watch a show like Beavis and Butthead in 2025, quite frankly), do they count or no?
TheHeckinSteve@reddit
It’s probably punishment for King of the Hill being on Hulu lol
IJustWantToWorkOK@reddit
Not everyone streams, or has the internet bandwidth to do so. I download and store.
I live in a rural area with dodgy satellite internet. Streaming isn't possible. But my satellite TV works.

Now you know how those of us with cable felt when it premiered on Paramount first. Not all of us have Paramount.
Chemical-Status-6610@reddit (OP)
I didn’t have it either. Streamed on sites like I said above.
Now you don’t know what to feel do ya?

I read posts like this and wonder how people don't understand that "cable" is not really cable anymore. There are multiple streaming platforms that have "cable" channels live or VOD. That's how most people watch shit now. I've been watching South Park and other cable shows for over a decade without cable. Stop thinking in terms of terrestrial television.
Chemical-Status-6610@reddit (OP)
I’m talking generalities here, I’m not above streaming sites or pirating. I use them more than I use actual streaming services even. But the few people that get to watch it live or on VOD through whatever side service cable-streaming providers still wont account for much viewership. This is how shows get canceled all the time. I mean why even move it to cable in its 3rd season anyways?
Inside-Run785@reddit
Just because you can’t watch it live, doesn’t mean that there aren’t enough people that do. Not to mention, it started life as a Comedy Central show. They brought it to Paramount+ to promote the streaming service. It would seem to me that maybe it’s the opposite. It might be doing better on cable than streaming.
Not to mention, as somebody else said, cable isn’t strictly “turn on the TV and that’s what you get.” Hasn’t been for decades. Most of these channels have an “on demand” channel already as part of their cable package. Or an app where you just need the cable login. The real selling point of these streaming services isn’t the repeat from last night, it’s new content and their decades old back catalog.
No-Trifle-9655@reddit
It started on MTV.
Inside-Run785@reddit
Yes. But this new series was commissioned originally as a Comedy Central show.
No-Trifle-9655@reddit
Okay I only watched it on Paramount Plus and at the beginning of every episode it has the MTV spaceman with the MTV logo.
CatBoyTrip@reddit
my internet gave me free steaming for cable tv. that is how i watch B&B and south park.
ACW1129@reddit
I have cable. Fuck Paramount Plus.
SometimesWitches@reddit
CBS (any cable tv network really) is in a tough spot. They want to keep people on cable so they need to keep some shows exclusively on cable but they ALSO want people on the streaming service so they will occasionally make a show “exclusively on streaming”. If you don’t have cable it sucks for you when you want to watch an exclusive cable show but there are still plenty of people on cable who don’t use streaming services so they miss a lot too.
Wait a few months after the season ends on CBS. They will likely drop it on Paramount Plus eventually.
RedKev27@reddit
In the UK it's on Now TV through the Comedy Central channel. £6.99 a month at the moment. Hope this helps someone!

My dumb ass was wondering if Mike Judge was mad at paramount.
doradus1994@reddit
This is the modern equivalent to scheduling shows on a Sunday
Dankalienz@reddit
Is there any streams out yet? It’s not on wcofun.. i don’t think paramount is available in my country
TrillaryKlinton84@reddit
It really is a shame, as I agree with you that the new seasons have been much funnier than my all-time favorite show South Park has been in nearly a decade.
awwgeeznick@reddit
Have the 🏴☠️’s finally come around to it?
baddecision116@reddit
My cable package includes a basic plan for nearly every streaming service.
LonkPlays@reddit
They wouldn't add them to both Call of Duty and freakin' Fortnite if they wanted to cancelled it
RobbySuave@reddit
Why would they let fans of both shows get to watch both at once? They’ll probably wait until the South Park season over so they can get new/extended subscriptions.
