Ringo's and Scruffy Duffies Plano

We went out tonight to watch football and our usual haunt 3 Nations was closed for a private event. We remembered a few years ago we went to Ringo's and Scruffy Duffies at Legacy in Plano and they were packed so we decided to go again. They were both DEAD. Not a soul. Did we just visit on an off night? Ended up walking to Bottle Rockets.

Ya it’s normally like that now, it’s sad
It used to be packed on the weekends there. Was like a mini uptown vibe.
Now it’s dead, I like to go there from time to time to see the ghosts of past nights there

Damn no cougars at Sambuca 360? What has this world come to? Nooooooo
Phynub@reddit
now thats a throwback. I hear they're at lava cantina now... milfs galore.

Yes! It was definitely like a mini uptown! That's what we were expecting until we walked past Scruffy Duffys and didn't see anyone. We had seen some great football games there a few years ago, and just wondered where all those people went.

that crowd keeps moving north.

I worked at Ringo's around 2011 and it was always packed. We would even have a decent weekday lunch crowd. I noticed that now they don't open until 7pm daily!

It was fun there a few years ago! Lively. I didn't realize they opened at 7. That's when we got there so that must be why there wasn't anyone in there.

How was bottle rockets, isn’t it the same ownership group?

Yeah apparently it is part of the same group when we got the receipt. It was fine. When we first got there around 7 it was pretty quiet inside but outside there was a group watching the game on the big TV. By the time we left around 1030, several tables outside were full and the inside had a good decent amount of people. We drove past Scruffy Duffies when we left and there were several people inside. Maybe we were out too early!

Sounds like where I would want to watch the game. Don’t understand the people looking for packed bars. In my 40’s now and just want people to get the fuck out of the way. Traffic here, packed restaurants here, wait lists there.
I fucking miss Dallas in the 90’s.
A quiet restaurant or bar would be a dream instead of a bunch of people screaming over each other to have a conversation and no pressure for staff to turn a table.

No I totally understand. I'm getting close to 40, I'm not trying to scream for 20 minutes for a beer. We ended up staying at Bottle Rockets because there were a few others there who were watching the same games we were and we were all cheering and booing at the same plays.

I always like the Beatles and all of the Beatles are good people don't got nothing against them to bad they didn't make gospel music im sure alot of Christian people would have bought that

The old Shops at Legacy side is dead now.
Which sucks because it was the better side!

Agreed. The other side was always too crowded so I avoided that area for years. Hadn't been there for a while. I always thought the original side kept the same vibe though.
