What is there to do?

I (28F) don’t like DFW, but I’m stuck here for business. What is there to do? Doesn’t seem like many options besides sports, eating, and drinking. I’m from LA so I’m used to being able to do pretty much anything during anytime of the day.

I’ve lived in Dallas 20 years and I feel like I’ve done it all. I tried every new restaurant and every new scene, and every time I gave something new a chance (especially post-pandemic) it’s just a massive disappointment.
I bought a modest home in Oak Cliff and I still love Bishop Arts and stuff, but all I can say is focus on what you love (new restaurants, theater, film, volunteering) and go for it. Never lose focus on your passion.

OK, so what do you do in LA?
Search for that.

I go to celebrity house parties and music festivals. Dallas doesn’t have that here.

You don’t say what you typically do in L.A. so kinda hard to point you in any particular direction.
Do you like museums? Go to the Arts District.
Even though it stormed last night and a bit this morning, there are outdoor trails (paved and not paved).
Are you into physical fitness? All sorts of gyms and studios with drop in opportunities.
Etc.

You can read a book.

Eat some BBQ, it's better than anything in LA, including Moo's craft. Go try Hutchins. Honestly short from hiking and the beach, you can do most of the same things. I work in Fort worth once a month.
What do you normally like to do that you don't think you can?

If you’re from LA, you should be used to sitting in traffic or visiting the strip mall.

You clearly haven’t been in years.
