the only idea that even kind of makes sense in my brain is that maybe companies are trying to prolong the death of cable by having shows that are cable exclusive rather than on streaming, because i keep seeing reports that various streaming services are struggling. but…beavis and butthead? no one is getting cable for a season of beavis and butthead, so if that’s their play, it’s stupid. and it’s a shame, the episodes last night were pretty good; nothing groundbreaking, but if you’re an old fan of the series and haven’t become a total grump, i can’t imagine not finding it funny.

I really don't think cable is going to die. I actually think it's going to grow simply based on the fact that it's now cheaper than streaming. There are so many streaming services, it's annoying to have to figure out what movie or show is on which network. This is even more confusing for sports. Cable is easy. Everything is in one place. If cable companies are able to reclaim on demand content or strikes a deal to bundle major streaming networks in one price, they'll make a comeback.

Cable is only cheaper than streaming if you have like seven streaming services. If you have one or two at a time, and keeping in mind, you can’t watch multiple things at the exact same time, that’s enough for a month.

this is a pretty confusing move, look at how much attention king the hill gets on an easily accessible platform but paramount is dropping the ball on this series, I dunno if this is Viacom or what but even with a friends paramount account this isn't watchable. so I have to use iptv to watch it live every week. at least the first episode is up on cc if you Google it but not on their website in yet another confusing move. but finding the 2nd ep of season 3 is impossible it appears. it wasn't shared on any of my pirate sources when I checked last night.

On any service you have to add the show to your list/library, then it records them automatically. But most of them have a backlog of episodes to watch after they have aired. Sling is a bit different and I'm actually new to it. I had been on YouTube TV for years and just got tired of them raising rates so often and switched. Sling does have VOD content, but I haven't fully explored all of it. I just added the show to my list and it recorded it. But if you sign up for anything and add a recent show, it will repeat at some point and record the repeat.

I was actually going to sign up for Paramount once I found a job, but I guess you just saved me a lot of headache and even money; B&B would've been the only reason I'd even bother to justify paying for a 3rd streaming service!

Neither ISP that services my apartment has physical cable, the one I'm using with better internet speeds doesn't have a contract with Paramount, and the one that does is a glorified streaming package (not real cable) and has lower but more expensive internet speeds. How out of touch are those bungholes?

Eh, to be fair streaming cable providers like sling, youtubeTV, hulus live tv, are about as good as physical cable these days anyway. Physical Cable providers like Comcast and Verizon have taken a shit on quality, and their “HD” streams are compressed garbage. There was a time when fios TV was the best option for picture quality, but they really just gave up or something.

What's the line between what is considered streaming and what is considered cable? I stream everything, but I subscribe to Fubo, which has Comedy Central. I looked it up and it says it will “eventually” stream on Paramount Plus, but not when. From what I gather, it may not be until after the entire season ends. I don’t have cable anymore, so I don’t mind waiting a day (like South Park,) or even a week (like Resident Alien,) but to not know is some bullshit!
