This and people who leave an insane amount of space between them and the car in front of them are probably why our rush hour traffic is as bad as it is. They're either tailing you too closely or holding up traffic.
That's definitely true.. But I think the bigger problem is the urban design not accounting for a growing population. Maybe if we had more public transportation...
I was gonna be all "Yeah!" till you slipped in that damned "the"... and the speed limit sign on US75 is completely irrelevant except at 2am for about 15 minutes between full parking lot and a NASCAR track modes.

NEVER EVER FULLY STOP ON A FREEWAY (unless it’s a valid emergency, like your car breaks down)!!! JESUS CHRIST!!! I keep encountering this on 35 as well.
I encounter this frequently. I encounter people on street roads holding up traffic in one lane, because they missed the turn lane more frequently. Why are we not honking at people cutting us off and obstructing traffic? That's the most infuriating thing. We keep passively allowing it.
I don't get It! Texas drivers were never THIS horrendous back in the day. I think it's the influx of Commiefornian refugees we've been getting consistently in the past 5 or so years that are making it absolutely impossible to get around sanely. And THIS is coming from someone who'd driven in the Middle East , South America and even China.
Sure there IS! BUT has it ALWAYS been THIS bad?! Because maybe I'm just not remembering. Which is possible since I've had many Brian to injuries over the years.
Being "Commiefornian" doesn't make you inherently a bad driver, there's simply more drivers on the road. It's absolutely ok to shit on this driver for making a selfish, main character move that puts others and themselves in danger. Automatically assuming they do shitty things because they are in an "other" category to you is not cool.
I really want to dissect your comment, though,
Why do you think communists or Californians are worst drivers?
Why do you think this driver is a communist or Californian? I could not pinpoint their political ideology or state of origin just from this video. Is it possible for others to have this power?
If you found they were 100% born and bred Texan, how would you feel?
What is your definition of a communist?
Why do you think Californian's are more likely to be communists?
Why do you blame Californians and by extension other state transplants for coming to this state when Texans have made such a hospitable environment for companies to move here and provide economic opportunity?
Do you scapegoat other people? Or just people you don't like?
I dunno. I've driven in a lot of parts of Texas and have driven in LA quite a few times. My experiences with LA traffic weren't anywhere near as aggressive as what I've dealt with in Texas, and this was like... early to mid-2000's, so we can't say that it's in the 5 or so years.
Hilarious anecodte, though: I was driving up towards downtown LA once on the 405 from Rancho Palos Verdes. It was in the middle of morning rush hour. And the worst driver - someone cutting people off and just generally making an ass out of himself....
I saw a minivan in Denver that was backing up in the center lane in 70mph traffic. I managed to avoid them, but the guy behind me probably killed everyone in the car.
Do folks not have GPS or just don't pay attention when driving? Lack of attention is mostly it I believe. How do people drive with their heads so far up their butts? Oh, thats right, they dont!
Especially in Texas! It’s very easy to recover from a missed exit here. Other states don’t have frontage roads and a mistake can add 30 minutes to your trip.
Yup i deliver uber eats and miss my turns and exits and i go and make a u turn its no big deal to me. I see some crazy stuff in the greater Dallas area everyday its scary out there. Everyone be safe and alert for everything
I saw a guy at a red-light get impatient and just take off out of no where and a motorcycle guy splat right into the side of it, he was real messed up. Guaranteed internal damage. It was right by 121 and 35 Lewisville by the 5 guys.
I saw a car on fire on top of a mattress.
I saw a Zebra out in the country in Denton somewhere
I saw a guy on the shoulder lane fly out into traffic with a trailer almost slammed into me and hit the car next to me they slammed into the guard rail on 35 going north the left exit onto 635 guard rail the police called me back for details and I asked if they were ok and he told me he cant tell me anything but he told me there was blood everywhere inside the car.
I saw a few prostitutes on Harry Hines using the stop sign as a stripper pole. They were pretty good lol.
I saw a man with a cape walking down Forrest lane in traffic middle lane.
I've seem cars upside down many times.
Over the last 25 years I seen a lot of dead motorcycle riders some just happened and some had the white sheet over them.
25 years ago I saw people fighting at the Fina off Northwest highway and loop 12 in front of my car and a guy yelled out Oakcliff and pumped a shot gun and shot a guy right in front of me the guy had buck shots in the truck and his back he drove off and within a minute I was down the road making a used turn he pulled over opened the door and his body just fell out and im pretty sure he passed. I tried to find it on the news but could find anything on it.
Also many years ago there were always drunk driver wrecks on loop 12 and and Northwest highway area and I saw a truck with only the frame left and people crying and I swear I saw body parts everywhere it was bone chilling.
That's all I can remember off the top of my head I know I've seen more but yea Dallas can be wild
In Houston, on my prom night (from the limo), we saw a guy without a seat belt eject through the place where his windshield had been onto the freeway - splat - and get run over by another car going 75. Not surprisingly, he didn't make it.
Door dash, my bad. https://abc7chicago.com/post/video-shows-delivery-driver-mistakenly-drive-ohare-airport-tarmac-chicago-department-aviation-says/16665871/
Same in Houston: the amount of last minute VERY close calls is honestly fucking unreal, and nothing like I’ve seen anywhere else. The thing about Texas, is that we have the Texas turnaround. Not a big deal if you miss an exit, you can almost surely hit the next exit and make an immediate uturn. Yet every single day I see people making what could be serious life changing decisions by cutting across 3 and 4 lanes of traffic to swerve into the exit, narrowly missing the crash barrier. It’s unreal
The scared folks are the people who dont know what they are doing so they drive under the limit and still miss a turn and the exit smh.
People also need to stop being on their phones while driving and also look at the directions before they leave.
Dallas is seriously one of the easiest places to get back on track after missing an exit. It’s incredibly selfish and dangerous to hold up traffic like that when all you have to do is make a light-free u turn.
Dallas drivers are the fcking worst. My insurance went up to $480 a month despite no at-fault accidents and progressive said it’s because the zip code I live in has such an ungodly amount of accidents. FIRST DAY of the lease in that new zip code and a drunk driver ran a stop sign and t-boned me at 6 pm on a Tuesday. Of course it was a hit and run and the cops didn’t show up. Ended up with 2 herniated discs and 10 months of physical therapy, but don’t worry, I never got a police report lmfao.
I think when I'm old and dont give a F anymore...I'm going to get like an old police Crown Vic with the push bars on the front and start smashing into these people.
"Sir, you've had.......12 accidents in the past year"

This absolutely enrages me! The lack of consideration and respect to others as well. They act like missing an exit is a crime. That part of 75 isn’t even that hard to navigate if you miss the exists, it’s not like it’s downtown where all those connections are! Ugh
I hate that shit. Just go around and try again Captain No Attention Span!!! Stop screwing around with your phone for crying out loud and fucking DRIVE!!!
Idk if the driver would go around if somdone is waving to them; but naturally I wouldn't go around just cause someone is asking me to. It'd make me trust them less personally. I don't like being told what to do lol
I have lived in quite a few different cities, I havent seen a city like Dallas that has this many ways to turn around, from exits every half mile and u-turns at practically every intersection from the frontage roads, I really dont understand why anyone doesnt just go to the next exit. Great thing about Texas, is if you miss your turn, there is a place to do a u-turn right up ahead, no biggie.
It isn't like the NJ Turnpike I got on once, missed a turn, 23 miles to the next one.
Lot of negative things about Texas, but our freeways, excluding traffic, are well designed and its really easy to navigate here.
