Because we got a bunch of d-bags that go to Sewell for their cars and a bunch of d-bags that work for them…
Fun fact: got rear ended, had to have bumper assembly replaced for a 2006 Saturn Vue in 2010. Insurance paid
Huffines: $720 - they could get it in 2 days - knew the exact condition as pulled from a junkyard, refurbed, paint already matched
Sewell: $780, they didn’t know when it would come in, wanted me to leave the car for a week, didn’t know if their supplier would even have it paint matched or if it would be refurbed - but they promised me unmatched service…pfftttt
Back in my day no one did this, regardless of what they drove and whom they were. The problem is most of the younger generation and / or sheer lack of consideration and basic common respect towards others and society in general.
It is not germane as to the location (far away from an entrance or not) nor the time of day nor what even could be an empty lot or empty in that part of said parking lot. That'd like saying it's okay for someone to park in a handicap parking space and does not have the legal documentation, privilege AND medical need to do so even if there were 30 empty such spaces.
So yeah it is NOT okay to do this at all. What's my first reaction that I would want to do? Key the car up and down both sides of of the entire offending vehicle. Would I? No. Why? Because I'm a decent human being with values, principles, ethics, integrity and have a common respect for my fellow human beings.
Go ahead and and complain to my comment all you want. I have no need nor compunction to further your backwards way of what you believe is acceptable by your limited view of societal norms and common courtesy and manners. However I will pray for you.
And I pray for whomever the dbag is that parked like that.
I mean, at least he’s not taking up 2 spots directly by the door, he looks to be pretty far from an entrance and also this doesn’t look like a busy parking lot with limited spots.
Dude. It’s just being a decent and courteous human being. What if while that person is doing whatever the parking lot fills up and it ends up screwing someone over?
Just have some foresight and try and be courteous to the people that have to be on this planet at the same time. That really doesn’t seem like a lot to ask. Damn.
No. It’s a dbag thing to do. Period. I can’t fathom why it’s so difficult to just park in one spot. And you don’t know if it did or didn’t inconvenienced someone. I was saying it was a possibility. And why be “that person” if it’s a possibility?
Stop trying to justify being inconsiderate. Damn! I didn’t realize that asking people to be courteous on the most BASIC level would that difficult for some. Seriously. Wow.
Yeah but you have to realize people are already thinking about that most of the time. There are pieces of shit out there and there are exceptions. But you can’t just assume things because assuming things is a very frivolous thing to do when it comes to human beings. I’m only defending the argument that you shouldn’t care because you don’t know the reason behind why they’re doing it and also you shouldn’t put any extra stress or effort into trying to figure out if you should care or not. If shit like this bothers a person then theyve obviously never had a hard day in their life and that’s my point. There’s 1 billion things going on every single day and we’re hyper focused on the wrong things. If this person is an asshole then cool. End of story. But everyone’s here just to argue for no reason and it’s really really disgusting behavior. Literally who cares bro? Who gives a flying fuck? Maybe this person is completely in the wrong or maybe this person thought the parking lot was empty enough that there aren’t going to be assholes out there judging him like he’s the fucking devil. It’s ridiculous what everyone’s arguing about here. And the thing that pisses me off the most is I’m over here trying to explain myself when none of this shit even matters. It’s at night and clearly this person made a decision. A wholehearted decision. That’s it. If he’s wrong he’s wrong. If it’s at night and there arent a lot pf cars in the parking lot, then cool who cares? I’m shitting myself how ridiculous all of these arguments are
The last time I parked like this was a parking lot at Walmart and parked far away from any other cars. Came back and someone keyed by new Datsun 240Z. Learned my lesson.
I am very curious as to why you parked like that in the first place. Property damage is definitely not an appropriate scale response but there is literally no reason for this unless you parked while having a medical emergency.
I don’t park like this but who cares? Who knows what reason they did this for? To say there’s literally no reason to do this unless is just controlling. Everyone needs to relax. No one on the planet is this high maintenance and controlling except for the people on this reddit
I've heard that a lot of entitled types who park this way have been taught more respectful parking procedures at the Roofing Nails Under Tires Institute, held after dark 7 nights a week in most cities where Home Depot stores are located.
There isn't as much open parking as you might think. You are looking toward the side lot of an adjacent business, that granted doesn't get much use at any time of day. It's used mostly by delivery trucks, and maybe some employees. The parking action is behind "you" as you look at the photo, and it can be pretty busy especially later after work hours.
This is the east edge of the LA Fitness lot at Old Town Shopping Center, at the corner of Lovers Ln and Greenville. What we are seeing in the photo is the drive up pharmacy at the Tom Thumb grocery next door.
Would that make it ok to run a red light if you were 100% sure no one was on either side? My point is that it's such a minimal inconvenience to not be a prick.
Ok so you're always running red lights when you know there's nobody around? No right? The fact is that the benefit of 20 seconds of your time is so marginal that it's just not worth it
You’re wrong. Everything about what you said is wrong and everything about what you think is wrong. You’re completely wrong. You don’t know the reasons behind why people do things and it’s none of your business. 10 people can park their cars like this and if it’s away from the entrance then there’s no reason why you should care. He clearly doesn’t want anyone to hit his car so it’s not douche bag behavior. You’re the douche bag for thinking he’s a douche bag for no reason. And if you run a red light that’s been faulty and glitching and it skips your light then you’re not an idiot or a prick for running a red light or skipping a red light. You’re not breaking the law you’re just breaking a code violation on the road. There’s literally nothing wrong with skipping a red light if no one is around. And if you think it’s wrong then you’re just a really really weak human being and you deserve to wait at the red light for life.
I mean if I saw someone running a red light and even if he didn't endanger anyone, I'd think that's prick behavior. It's more of the discipline of being able to resist doing something like that. Plus this type of stuff is learned behavior, and just like one person driving in the shoulder makes a bunch of other people attempt the same thing, I think it's bad to encourage that.
In context, this bmw parking like this is prick behavior because you don't know if the parking lot could end up filling up or not.
And at the end of the day, it's really not a big deal to just park like a normal human being.
I dunno, one time my dad parked way out in the far part of the parking lot at a movie theater and when we got out of the movie, there were PLENTY of spaces left, and closer to the entrance, and I went to the passenger side, there was another car parked right next to him so close I couldn't even open the door. I told him next time, take two spaces.
So many people are saying this person is the asshole, but have any of you stopped to think that maybe this person (and many others) park like this bc of all of you careless assholes that door ding other people’s cars bc you have no respect for other people’s property?? Bro that’s the gym at lovers and Greenville. There is AMPLE space that late at night. I get its dumb parking but let’s not act like you couldn’t find a spot
He’s literally parked far away from the building… There’s not tons of traffic there. And he just wants to protect his car from people door dinging it… Seems reasonable to me.
Sounds like you just like to complain about things that aren’t real issues
yes, as well as the entrance to Pluckers. i get peoples point about it not being right by the entrance but it’s still a busy area of the lot given the proximity to all three. and ultimately, i just like making fun of bad driving and parking 😅
Im the type of person who would park my jeep over the line like right next to them, they wont be able to back up and since the pole is there they wont be able to go out to the left.
Only thing that could fit would be a lifted truck to be able to open the door...and if there was a car in the next spot a lifted truck wouldn't even try. This is just people wanting to be angry...you know...stupid...
I'm supremely confused here...are you the douchebag taking pictures of people's cars because they parked their car in a way you didn't approve of? (President of the HOA is on the horizion!) Or are they douchebags because they care about their car? I'm not saying you have to park like a moron because you think you have a nice car. I'm way more curious as to how this parking job ruined your day. It seems to be on the side of a business...at a bit of a distance...
Just because he parks where he's protecting his car he's a douchebag? It depends where those 2 spots are. This pic is like one of those videos that starts off with someone flipping their shit, but what you missed was the person filming it rubbing shit all over their windshield first.
Since he decided to rewrite the lines, diagonal park next to him too. Only woulda been better if the lightpost wasn't right next to them otherwise you could have made getting in the driver's side for them impossible.
Nah, an angry response would encourage leaving a lame passive aggressive note or something worse like vandalism. My suggestion is just some cheeky shenanigans.
Park to the right next to him with 50% of your car on each side of the line. He isn't going anywhere. If he gets lippy with anyone it becomes hard to justify his actions when he felt it was ok to use two spots himself.

reddit_user_in_space@reddit
Smart tbh.
Real_mr_sid420@reddit
Right. Why is everybody's panties yanked up their ass by this? The first spots not even a spot
2013GrandSport@reddit
Only thing that could fit would be a lifted truck to be able to open the door...and if there was a car in the next spot a lifted truck wouldn't even try. This is just people wanting to be angry...you know...stupid...
Real_mr_sid420@reddit
Because they drive beaters, or brand new cars that are a year and a half old and still haven't been washed
2013GrandSport@reddit
I'm supremely confused here...are you the douchebag taking pictures of people's cars because they parked their car in a way you didn't approve of? (President of the HOA is on the horizion!) Or are they douchebags because they care about their car? I'm not saying you have to park like a moron because you think you have a nice car. I'm way more curious as to how this parking job ruined your day. It seems to be on the side of a business...at a bit of a distance...
lance1103@reddit
I don’t think his car would fit in the spot on the left
synthetic-dream@reddit
Ofc it’s a beamer
IllustriousDay5869@reddit
Yeah who cares? Maybe he didn’t want door dings. We need more context.
chris-FW@reddit
Eh, pick your battles...
HugePurpleNipples@reddit
I'm just glad he didn't park right in front of the door and put his emergency flashers on.
mag0802@reddit
Looking at the tom thumb at lovers and greenville?
Witty_Length_7404@reddit
I would block him
Furrealyo@reddit
I’m park far away guy, but taking more than one spot anywhere on a lot is begging for a keying.
5x4j7h3@reddit
I found the guy that keyed my $8k Volkswagen. Nice to meet you after all these years.
Furrealyo@reddit
Keep looking.

bigglassjar@reddit
Or a piece of gravel inside each tire stem under the cap. Not that I would recommend it.
Ice-Teets@reddit
Wouldn’t that just blow the cap off? Tire gauges have a button you can use to press valves
bigglassjar@reddit
Small enough piece allows you to thread the cap and let air slowly escape. Don’t crank it all the way back on.
Excellent_Bet3931@reddit
so, you would key this beautiful car When it looks like there are plenty of parking spaces all around this lot. Does your mommy know you're on reddit?
GoBlueTX@reddit
Yes, I would key this ugly 4 series. That’s, maybe, a $10k car. Not worthy of two spaces.
Dr_Mntis_Tobggn@reddit
Found the owner
Severe-Election615@reddit
And if he were in a handicapped spot? That's ok too. Apparently his mommy knows he's on redit now.
Furrealyo@reddit
I didn’t say I would. I said it was begging for it to get done.
I live my life by “don’t fuck around with someone’s ride or someone’s wife” and it’s treated me well so far.
No_Priority_5907@reddit
missed opportunity by him not taking 3
Creative_Maize1379@reddit
Of course! He/she drives a bmw!!
5x4j7h3@reddit
Of course, literally only assholes drive BMWs. In fact, it is the only manufacturer that caters solely to dickheads. /s
Creative_Maize1379@reddit
I have an x5m and im not an asshole, i was just kidding 😬👍🏻
HK-P7M13@reddit
Shit like that begs for vandalism.
Adorable_Gas_9970@reddit
Well…they drive a BMW. What did you expect?
5x4j7h3@reddit
It’s the same price as a used Honda, what do you expect?
dallasuptowner@reddit
Honestly that is only behavior I expect out of Tesla owners these days.
Dry_Location_5904@reddit
Stfu dude. That cars almost 43,000 dollars. That’s like 60k Canadian.
Severe-Election615@reddit
Wealthy people cant walk
5x4j7h3@reddit
$43k isn’t wealthy
5x4j7h3@reddit
That car is a 2017-2019 4 cylinder base. Used about $19k. Not rich not $40k. Basically a used Honda.
TheRealBadGate@reddit (OP)
why didn’t i think of this
Rickleskilly@reddit
No, I'm pretty sure that's a BMW. 😄
austinsutt@reddit
To be fair they are the same thing
bionica@reddit
I’d expect nothing less.
PantherCityRes@reddit
I see what you did there…
FrankUnfilteredPod@reddit
Dude, blur the license plate
krel08@reddit
Ironically, one of the shittiest cars you can buy behind a Maserati.
Many-Screen-3698@reddit
Couldn’t afford the 440
Real_mr_sid420@reddit
Just because he parks where he's protecting his car he's a douchebag? It depends where those 2 spots are. This pic is like one of those videos that starts off with someone flipping their shit, but what you missed was the person filming it rubbing shit all over their windshield first.
yachster@reddit
Get a life
Tenroh_@reddit
Where is this in relation to the business and how packed was the lot?
amanhasthreenames@reddit
It can be a very busy parking lot, it’s a 45 second walk from here to the LA Fitness entrance and Pluckers.
westex74@reddit
That’s virtually a guarantee to get the air let out of your tires.
Kineth@reddit
Since he decided to rewrite the lines, diagonal park next to him too. Only woulda been better if the lightpost wasn't right next to them otherwise you could have made getting in the driver's side for them impossible.
Dr_Mntis_Tobggn@reddit
Park just as crooked but facing the opposite direction and block him in. Make him hop the curb if he wants to leave
Excellent_Bet3931@reddit
Angry much?
Dr_Mntis_Tobggn@reddit
Nah, an angry response would encourage leaving a lame passive aggressive note or something worse like vandalism. My suggestion is just some cheeky shenanigans.
Severe-Election615@reddit
Park next to him, if he backs out he'll hit you.photo w phone, get plate included
Faded_Rainstorm@reddit
This is Lovers behavior lmao
fetfreak74@reddit
Park to the right next to him with 50% of your car on each side of the line. He isn't going anywhere. If he gets lippy with anyone it becomes hard to justify his actions when he felt it was ok to use two spots himself.
