As a tech who’s worked on quite a few HC33s do yourself a favor and get some custom covers or moving blankets. Throughly remove any and ALL interferences like cushions, toys, sails, gear, etc that may be in the boat or directly in the way of access and cover your wood up.
I’ve seen so many of these boats dinged up by careless workers and heavy tools during even minor projects. It’s no so much joinery as it’s all glued and screwed down. It’s hard to replace, and the age and UV makes color matching really difficult.
This might be the most beautiful HC33 I have ever seen. The level of detail in that woodwork shows the long hours that it must have taken to get it into that condition. I absolutely love that little bed nook in those boats too..
They made another variant that had an open rear berth with the nav station just forward of it and directly across from the galley. Don't see those as often, not sure how many were like that.

Maintain it and it will be beautiful forever.

Yes, a fine and firey craft indeed

You can still order a new HC33. No idea if they can do that kind of woodwork today...

Where did the electrical panel go?
Lowcountry25@reddit (OP)
This is a UK-market boat, the panel is outboard of the chart table. https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Fzsqsirugy7291.jpg

Ah, very cool. Didn’t know there was a difference. Thanks for the info
