Show cars aren’t the most practical cars. Just because you saw this tire fitted on wheels at a car show. It doesn’t mean you can daily drive it. A show car is only for show.
I spent a summer as a tire tech in 2001 and boy am I glad it was before this trend got out of hand. (Unrelated, but I’m also glad it was before TPMS sensors too, that seems like a real hassle).
A standard tire machine only fits up to like 22-24” wheels. So if your shop wasn’t specifically setup for it, it wouldn’t be anything to worry about.
TPMS aren’t difficult to install, and then programming you just run the process on the scan tool.
I don't get too much really low profile stuff, but at least with gm the sensors aren't too bad as long as you are paying attention to what you're doing.
