Sailing Clubs in Southern California

I plan to eventually purchase a boat of my own, but I'm having a tough time deciding what size would be appropriate for my situation. So I am considering joining a sailing club which would access to take lessons and to try out different sizes and models. I am considering a couple of clubs (down below), but wanted to get some feedback from anyone who is a member.
Harbor Yatch Clubs (LB & SD)
Windward (Newport Beach)
Aventura (Dana Point)

Where in SoCal? I'm apart of Harbor Sailboats in San Diego and they've got the largest fleet that I've seen around here - all newer boats and very well maintained. Anything from Capri 22s up to an Oceanis 51.1.
They won't allow you to take out any size boat immediately, though. You'd have to take lessons and get experience with each tier before you can move to larger and larger boats.

I am in the Inland Empire, so unfortunately San Diego wouldn’t normally be an option for me. I’ve read negative reviews about Long Beach and the condition of the fleet at that location. I also understand they don’t provide lessons, so that would be less ideal for me.
