I was racing last night on a fast sailboat. I can confirm that fast sailboats are more exciting than rollercoasters.

I couldn't convince my wife to go out in up to 6' swells. She put the gunwale in the water for the first time last Saturday and remarked, loudly "I don't like it!".

Maybe I don't know what the hell I'm doing, being a new sailor, but on windy race days I typically end up with a couple new bruises/cuts/abrasions.
