What’s reliable 3rd seats car ?

Hey everyone, I’m currently in the market for a 3-row vehicle and reliability over the long term is really important to me. I’m hoping to find something that can last for years without major issues. My budget is $50,000 or less, so I’d love to hear your recommendations or experiences with models that fit within that range. I’ve heard about the Toyota Highlander but the back seats are so tight , no room for adults .

for a reliable 3-row SUV under $50k, check out the Kia Telluride or Hyundai Palisade - both have spacious third rows and great long-term reliability ratings. i used CarEdge to compare ownership costs and negotiate a solid deal on my Telluride last year.

Not reliable long-term. Watch any mechanic on YouTube and they will tell you it is more noteworthy when a Kia/Hyundai out of warranty does NOT blow its engine.

Toyota Sienna
Honda Odyssey, Pilot
Nissan Pathfinder (they ditched the CVT in 2022)
Mazda CX90 (PHEV, not the Turbo ICE engine)
Those are \~50k or less new, if you go used you could get the Toyota Grand Highlander and Sequoia
Here's a very helpful video that gives solid data on the 3rd row seating dimensions, but if you want reliable, these are pretty much your choices. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eixOHvlQE7k

NOOOOOOO! It's more important that I look cool than have a vehicle designed to do specifically what I want!

I don't think you're going to find one in the mid-size SUV segment... Not one that has room for adults in the back. You need to move into the full size category... In which prices all start around 60k... And considerably worse MPG.. so it's more expensive on two levels there. Toyota Sequoia, Chevy Tahoe/suburban, etc etc

Yeah the only small SUV/crossovers that have the row are VW Tiguan and Mitsubishi Outlander. And Tiguan just discontinued the third row for newest year.
Neither are roomy for adults in third row.

You gotta look at vans if you’re concerned about adult space in the 3rd row. 3 row SUVs are just gonna be compromised minivans at this use case, with significantly worse fuel economy in many cases. I would suggest checking out a Sienna or Odyssey

I fit adults into the 2nd row and 3rd row just fine with my Highlander. Can feel a little tight but it isn't thay bad.
