Opinions on RPM Living

My complex was recently bought out by RPM Living a few months after saying they got new management from a separate company. It's a large corporation so I already don't trust it but is there any opinion on living under them? I'm getting mixed reviews from my internet digging but their from a few years ago.

Horrible. They took over my complex a couple months ago and there was already a fire which caused flooding in my unit. They have been incredibly shady.

I usually run in the opposite direction when I hear RPM.

There has not been a management company I have encountered that’s worth a damn

I live in an RPM complex and don't love it. The office management is flaky, doesn't answer the phone - if I have an issue I have to actually walk over and make it their problem in person. Maintenance is very slow, even for pressing issues like a water leak. They make it hard to manage things like pest-control or parking.
The last place I lived (also a large complex) was also terrible, had to fight through multiple layers of people to get my deposit returned properly. The small, owner-run apartments were quirky, but everything was taken care of quickly and I got an actual human on the phone when I needed them.

Thats been a main issue for me too, on having to walk in the office to address my issues. ESPECIALLY since they're changing me extra for insurance when I've handed them a physical copy. Im currently in my first apartment and will keep owner run complexes in mind when i move again.

At an RPM complex and the management is actually horrible. Though I think management at most complexes is bad
