What ways are there to make a rug non slip?
Posted by Waste_Ad9015@reddit | AskUK | View on Reddit | 8 comments
I have tried a non slip mat under the rug and had mixed results. I see double sided tape but that's to much as I like to roll it up sometimes. Is there a one sided tape that sticks the anti slip to the rug or other solutions. Please help, I almost died answering the door.

I bought a really cheap sticky mat from Ikea that you cut to just under the size of you're rug. It was really sticky on both sides and held the rug firm. I guess it depends on the fabric of your rug; how adhesive it would be, and what type of floor it's sticking to as well.

We have used these for our rugs, with success: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Rugistic-Pcs-Grippers-laminate-floor/dp/B0949526MQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_3

Can you not use double sided tape to stick the mat to the carpet if it's a flexible mat?

Well. Yeah, but I didn't think of that, and now when I buy a new mat, my wife will know I'm a idiot.
