Anecdotally it seems far fewer kids work out or play sports than when I was a youngen, almost all of em have either scrawny gamer physique or chubby gamer physique

I kind of see the opposite. Lots of young Gen Z dudes and highschool dudes (broccoli heads) at the gym. There has been a huge emphasis on physical body “aesthetic” among them.
They are all often short and small though

IMO When they start growing we’ll see trends similar to Gen Z but amplified. Walk around a college campus these days and one in every 5 dudes is fit/muscular, I rarely see an obese person these days.
I expect gen alpha to develop in the same level if not further, considering the fact they’ve been born into this crazy social media culture where you have to bench 225 by 18 or you’ll be considered a failure as a man.
