My father, who is 90, watched the original "Highlander" movie (with Chris Lambert) last weekend. When it was over, I asked him what he thought.

He said, "The other guy is better."

"You mean Adrian Paul?"

"Yeah."

So I stormed out of there and went for a motorcycle ride to clear my head. I feel better now, but what should I do? Do I disown my father or do I let this pass? I don't know if I can get over it. My girlfriend likes Adrian Paul, but she's a millennial, so I can forgive her. But my own father?

Lambert will always be the "original" and great in that sense, but also lets face it, Lambert had two not-so-great appearances as Conner (though 3 good ones so still better than 50/50). Aside from a few stumbles in the series, Paul was a great Highlander and we definitely got a chance to get to know his Highlander a lot better, so from pure entertainment value he's the best. The only downside to Paul is that his final appearance as Duncan was the worst thing ever made for Highlander, whereas at least Conner got to go out on a high note with Endgame.

Christopher Lambert is the best by many many miles!!!! 😃

Plus, I am a huge nerd and Highlander is one of my top 5 movies.

I don't know about disowning, but a finger waggled in his face with a "tsk, tsk" and a disappointed shake of the head is probably warranted, lol.

The best part of Highlander was the absurd linguistic mismatch. They had a Frenchman playing a Scotsman, and Scotsman playing a Spaniard. And neither of them came anywhere close to hitting the accent. Pure gold!
