CDL Training with Lodging Support?

Hey truckers! I’m planning to head back to the States soon with about $1,200 to my name. I’ve been studying the CDL manual to prep for the written test, but I’ll need help with lodging during training since I won’t have a place to stay. I’m almost 40, have a clean Texas driver’s license, and a clear background check. Do you have any recommendations for companies that provide CDL training with dorms or lodging support? Ideally, I’m looking for one that lets you pay back training costs over time. I’m open to any state if it means getting the best deal. Thanks in advance!

Prime will put you in their hotel and they pay the best during training out of all the megas

Any of the big carriers offer that.
What were you doing out of the country and for how long? Unless you were in the military or working for the US government in some capacity, it’s going to be hard to find a company that will hire you with an unverifiable recent employment history.

’m currently out of the country for medical reasons, as I don’t have health insurance, but I still maintain a U.S. address through a friend and a U.S. phone number. I’ve been working across different states for nearly 15 years. In 2023, I earned over $123K with a software company before the mass layoffs, and last year I earned about $22K from various gigs. All of this can be verified through my tax returns.

You don’t have to prove anything to me, I’m just pointing out that trucking companies are required to verify your employment history and they might opt to pass on applicants who have long gaps and things that aren’t easily verifiable.

Cr england is where I went 4 years ago. They have three main locations Salt Lake City Utah, Laredo Texas, and a city in Indiana. They were a good starter company for me. I was in a hotel during the whole time while I was at the school
