Are any of these ideas good or bad?

I’m not a truck driver myself, but I’ve worked with a bunch of trucking companies over the years doing web and app development. Built a couple of small tools for them and honestly started liking the industry a lot. The whole country runs on it, so I thought maybe I could put together something useful for drivers and charge the companies for it.
Figured I’d throw a few ideas out here and see if they sound like they’d actually help:
- Maintenance tracker - enter details and get reminders when specific parts need servicing.
- Driver-company matching - you drop your email, and companies send you offers. If you don’t like them, you just pass and wait for a better fit.
- Fuel & stop finder - an app that helps drivers quickly compare fuel prices along their route and highlights good rest stops nearby.
What do you think? Any of these worth it, or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Any owner worth his salt already is doing what you want him to use your app to do.

That makes sense.
That idea was more about getting drivers informed about the fuel prices during their drive not connected with the card and everything.
But I get your point.
Thank you, this insight was very helpful!

2 and 3 are already filled by established apps and websites. 1 might be good for owner ops and small fleets, but large fleets already have their own systems for tracking that stuff.
Some examples of 2 are Driver Pulse and Truckers Report. Some examples of 3 are Trucker Path, Hammer, and Mud Flap.

My eld has a maintenance tracker that keeps track of that for me.

Thank you so much! I'll look into these examples as well.
