ULPT How to get an interview for a part-time job

So this has worked for me at my first job and the one I had before my current one, and it recently worked for my buddy when I told him about it. When I was 17 and was looking for a job during high school, I called this Mexican restaurant right before they closed for the night.
A woman answered and I asked about job opportunities, and she said to come in at 11AM the day after. So I did, and the owner came in right after me. He told me they weren’t open yet, and I said I had called on the phone and a woman had told me to come in. He sat me down and interviewed me, and I got the job.
Last year, I was desperate looking for a summer job, and i got this idea. I started to walk into restaurants and grocery stores with my resumés, telling them a woman had told me on the phone to come in for interviews.
A surprising amount of managers went along with it and interviewed me. I ended up landing another job at a restaurant I really liked using this strategy, and I never faced any consequences or word back from the places that interviewed me but didn’t hire me.

I had an ex do something similar:
I locked my keys and phone in my car at a grocery store gas station. I went inside and gave her a call but she didn't answer. I then proceeded to walk to my moms house a few miles away. In the meanwhile my girlfriend (unemployed) got time to call the grocery store back and mentioned that she received a call from them. The grocery store assumed it was for an interview and they asked to to come in. She ended up working there for a few mother before finding a better job.

That's a good idea. Except the times where the only way to get an interview is if everything is done online. CVS is like that, you can't see someone for an interview until you do the online application and pass their mental health test
