Is a used 3080 ti a sweet spot for $600 CAD pc building?

The 3080ti used near me is around $600 CAD. For a bit more money you can get a 5060ti 16 gigs with worse performance. So for less money you can get a better card. Are there any more good $600 cards for better value around that price or would the 3080ti be the best value for $600 CAD?

3080Ti’s still have a ton of legs thanks to DLSS4. I was gaming on one in 4K with no problem until recently (got a 5080).

So would you say it’s worth it for $600 CAD?

I think you’d be hard pressed to find a better deal if I’m doing my math into freedom bucks correctly. Whether it’s worth it is entirely up to you.

Do you thing it would pair well with a Ryzen 5 9600x?
Kaesix@reddit
Absolutely. The 9600X is a hell of a processor for <$200USD. Just make sure you get 32GB of DDR5 6000 to give it some legs.

How does it compare to the 6800 XT ? I found a few around $500 in the GTA

I’m not currently on an Rtx 3080ti but reviews say it’s like 20% faster then the 6800xt but with 4gbs less vram
Logical-Hyena8260@reddit
Its not anywhere near 20%, the 3080 ti is roughly equal to a 6900xt which is 10% better. What are you using to compare?
vvhathehellwasthat@reddit
Hmm, not sure which I’d prefer. Wonder what the 20% looks like in tangible terms - 4gb extra of VRAM goes a long way though for sure

It’s a good choice to future proof build with 16gb of vram. But I plan on upgrading my gpu later so it doesn’t affect me raw fps does
vvhathehellwasthat@reddit
For sure, sounds like a reasonable approach

Yeah, that's a pretty sweet spot. The most recent build I put together has a 3060 Ti that I got for about $300, then my main rig has a 4080 Super I got for $1,500. Probably anything better than that 3080 Ti isn't gonna be as wallet friendly

Would you say it would pair well with a Ryzen 5 9600x?
KrukzGaming@reddit
As long as you're not playing CPU intensive games, yeah, should be good.

Thx

Thanks

yup, same thing in croatia, used 3080ti for 450 or 500 euro, or go to cheapest 630 euro 5070
Life_Main_9396@reddit (OP)
5070’s look around $850 cad for me for the same vram and slightly better performance. I would rather cheap out on a 3080ti and save $150 dollars
