PC not booting after build

I have just build a pc with the following parts:
- AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- MSI B350 Tomahawk
- Zotac GTX 1060 6GB
- 1TB M.2 SSD
- Be quiet 500W 80+ Bronze PSU
- 16GB DDR4 Corsair RAM
I have put it all together, it turns on and all the fans spin but it will not display or be detected by my monitor. The MSI EZ Debug lights are red for BOOT, DRAM and GPU. The only one that isn't on is the CPU light.
I'm able to plug in a keyboard and toggle the caps lock on and off, which I have heard means it might be a problem with the graphics card.
I've reset the CMOS battery and reseated the graphics card and the RAM sticks, but still nothing works. I haven't updated the motherboard BIOS, but my friend was using it with the Ryzen 5 3600 a few months ago so I imagine it should just work.
Any ideas on how to figure out what's broken? I'm at a loss.

Have you tried removing the graphics card and plugging your monitor directly into the motherboard to see if you get an image? I would try that first. It's an easy enough test to tell you if something is wrong with the gpu or slot on the mobo.

I don't think the CPU has integrated graphics so will this work?

You are totally right. The 3600 doesn’t have integrated graphics. Completely forgot about that.

I would recommend updating the bios.
