My project truck

Thought I'd share a short video someone grabbed of me leaving a local show. I still have to replace all door internals, windows, and weatherstripping, which is why you see the duct tape. Once we finish running the exhaust, then I can fab up a raised bed floor and make it useful. I bought the truck in high school, and I've had it for 27 years. Now it's on a Choppin Block extreme air ride chassis with a 408 stroker with a pretty nasty cam, a 4L80E with a 3600 stall. It's a blast to drive.

You in OK? I dot to drive a truck that looked just like this when I worked as a valet in okc a few years ago

I'm in Oklahoma, but I'm out in the Woodward area. This hasn't been to OKC yet.

There's a lot of trucks that don't look great lowered. This however is fucking awesome. And it sounds FANTASTIC
Good shit OP. Thanks for sharing! I love those wheels too. Badass.

Thank you so much! The wheel selection took me a while to narrow down, and I caught a ton of shit for not throwing on chrome 5 spokes like 95% of these have on them. I really wanted a vintage look still, but my sleeper status goes away as soon as you start it up.

Yes, please don't repaint it, clearcoat the hell out of it if you must, but that's a hell of a look.

I'm planning on just cleaning it up, maybe getting more of my old primer off, and then clearing it. I can drive it and enjoy it without stressing over getting a chip or scratch in it.

That’s fantastic looking and a great project. Congratulations on the lengthy ownership. Pretty darned impressive.

Thank you! It's been a fun project building it the last 2-1/2 years finally.

Bonus points for owning it for so long!

There were times when it was hard to turn down offers I got for it! But luckily my wife has been extremely understanding with all the money I've spent on it so far, and I can't see myself parting with it.
