Monitors wont display -

Ok have a strange issue. I built a PC for my son in December, has worked fine until now. In the last week his dual monitors quit working. We thought maybe an HDMI issue so replaced the cables, still didnt work. So tested monitors on a different PC and worked fine with those cables. Still didn't work, decided to upgrade his monitors for him to larger 24-inch Samsung monitors and still did not work. I was able to get the pc to work on a portable monitor that I use as a dual screen on my laptop and was able to get it to work on all ports. Updated all software, drivers and updated the Bios as well. Still no dual monitors. So did a fresh install of windows as well, no go. Spoke to Gigabyte support and they had me toggle off the onboard video and that worked for a day then after a restart back to the original issue.
Here is what we have:

If I'm understanding this, you:
Have you tested if you can get video out to a monitor via integrated graphics? Have you also tried reseating the GPU?

yes integrated graphics does the same thing. I have reseated the graphics card as well. I am puzzled. spoke to Gigabyte and they say it’s not their issue as I can get the portable monitor to work. They are stating a cpu issue which doesn’t make sense to me, but I could be wrong.

Can you see if any of the debug LEDs lights up on your son's system?
Can you also try swapping the GPU out with one from another system, if possible? I want to see if we can rule out a faulty graphics card or if it's something related to the motherboard.

there is a red vga light on. I don’t have another gpu or else I would try that. what throws me off is that it works with the portable monitor but not the other 4 monitors. which all work on another pc. my other pc is a prebuilt from dell and is integrated graphics

According to your motherboard's manual, if the VGA LED is on, it indicates that your graphics card is acting abnormally.
I don't know what specifically is wrong with the graphics card but at this point, I would consider replacing it.

Ok I will try ddu then reach out to gigabyte again. They seem to think it’s not their issue since one monitor is working(the portable monitor) appreciate your time
