Attractive people’s potentially negative traits will be overlooked or ignored because they’re attractive. Unattractive people’s potentially negative traits will be amplified and mocked because they’re unattractive.
Celibacy and maybe unusual hobbies are the only things that remotely make sense. The rest has me questioning if anon isn't just horny for every girl he sees.
Yeah, a lot of these are iffy but this one is totally off. Single mothers pretty regularly get made fun of and called trashy or whatever, whilst basically everyone has sympathy and respect for single dads for stepping up or dealing with a partners death
One thing thats important to note is that women aren't encouraged to take care of their partner like men are.
Like the media often depicts men as saving the damsel in distress, and things like providing for a family are seen as noble.
Women might be encouraged to do housework and chores, but it's not seen as a noble act. No one is thinking "wow she's so cool the way she mops the floor".
Now I do think women are encouraged to do the same things men do. But not FOR men, those traits are seen as equally important, but when they're doing it for children and to a lesser extent, animals.
Anon is describing pretty privilege but assuming it applies to all women, probably because he's straight.
A hot autistic girl is quirky and different.
An ugly autistic girl is R worded
I said it before in another subreddit about the double standards with celibacy between men and women. Being celibate as a woman doesn’t necessarily mean it’s considered “cute” or acceptable to everyone.
To a certain age, it’s considered weird.
In some cases it doesn’t matter if you’re ugly or not, you’ll get either the desperate pigeonhole or the naïveté pigeonhole.
People automatically think you’re religious even if you never express it.
Once a guy especially an eager one finds out all he wants to talk about is When are y’all going to have sex?. Some are aggressive and just demand it even if you’re hardly talking to each other. Like not even in a,” we're hooking up” type of thing, “because you can make the argument that we're socializing”, I don't speak to you at all I hardly say hi. I never express sex towards you in the slightest.
Have gotten laid with four of these. Five if count when I was laid up for 7 months from ankle surgery. Lower your standards boyos. To the point of fake and gay.
I don't consider any of those traits as "cute" in a guy or in a girl. Okay, maybe unusual hobbies and interest, depending on the hobby/interest. But most of them I'm, at best, neutral towards.
Anon walks around all day judging everyone and then asks 4chan why his judgements are double standards. Beats me, anon, try talking to a professional.
Legolegomyegoego@reddit
its only seen as cute when the girl is cute
bartholomewjohnson@reddit (OP)
Anon didn't point out that side of the coin.
SpaceBug176@reddit
Ok but do you find an unemployed autistic man cute
FunnyRegret7876@reddit
Yea a lot of women chase art focused autistic men who are reclusive and socially awkward, its so popular its a trope.

Imagine he's a 6'6" model who recently quit his high earning job to take care of a sick family member.
jillblackpill@reddit
Women would definitely consider him a loser jfl
SpaceBug176@reddit
While that's indeed being unemployed, you know people don't think that when they hear "unemployed." Well, atleast that's not what I think.
YellingAtClouds234@reddit
Well, you aren't writing a hit movie in which *sick family member*'s naighbor: Julia Roberts 30 years ago, falls in love with model autist.

is he 4'11 and 87 lbs?

I guess?
cocainebrick3242@reddit
It is the same logic. I assume women are just as vapid as I am, it's how I justify my refusal to improve my personality.
jillblackpill@reddit
Said no one ever, at least in the age of body positivity when 200lb women are seen as cute while men are seen ss gross

Single parenthood could be an exception. Single mother feels more like a red flag.

Double standards is when different people like different things.
jillblackpill@reddit
maridan49@reddit
This doesn't work because the meme is categorically talking about different groups, men and women.
jillblackpill@reddit
No it's talking about society in general and also women are shaolin masters of double standards jflol
maridan49@reddit
No it isn't, but I guess you've made up your mind on blaming women so I won't speak further about it.
jillblackpill@reddit
Women blame me for all of societal problems but okay

jillblackpill@reddit
Yeah but women are attractive while women are unattractive. I didn't make the rules sry not sry
Less-Raspberry-7831@reddit
A woman definitely won't find ditziness/forgetfulness, autism, or celibacy attractive in men, it's only endearing on women
Kiwi_Doodle@reddit
I saw someone made a 2 hour video essay on this this morning, yet here you are getting to the point in 2 sentences.
QuinnAvery89@reddit
I mean it’s common sense.
Kiwi_Doodle@reddit
Yeah, but it's oddly taboo to acknowledge for some reason
secretSalamander69@reddit
Because then people would have to acknowledge their own biases and tendency to do so
Less-Raspberry-7831@reddit
Anon learns men and women are inherently different and all this "men and women are the same" is a bunch of bullshit.

the rest are valid

Theyre all bad, some disqualifying. If the girl is cute enough, we might turn a blind eye to them, but a flaw is always a flaw.

We cannot draw lines at sex/gender and let the pretty people divide us further as they have already done so with race and class.
The true privilege has always been among the beautiful and wealthy. Us ugly poors must not forget this.
