My nephew watches brainrot Minecraft videos that have basically every beloved character millennials grew up on doing stupid shit that isn't at all related to the original characters; like Spiderman tying to find a place to take a shit and SpongeBob trying to get his ex girlfriend to come back to him.

I've tried getting him to watch the originals but it makes him angry because "that's not how they act or sound" or "nothing is happening." He can't even make it through an episode of SpongeBob.

Neji means "screw" and Boruto means "bolt".

It's also correlates with Uzumaki surname - vortex / spiral.

It's also in the logo itself (bolt)

Boruto's second manga also called Two Blue Vortex.

Boruto's also main ability is Rasengan (Uzuhiko) which is about vortex.

People who hate on Boruto are 60iq adults who can't possibly imagine a hint of empathy to out themselves as the target audience and can't fathom it "not being more Naruto".

It has flaws, the last arc we could truly get rid (and I could argue it's specifically because it tries to be Naruto,)

But it's overall an excellent growing up anime for children right now and I'm glad they had this rather than DBZ.

Maybe they just don't like it. I heard Chapter 18 isn't animated till Episode 183. If that's representative of the show as a whole, the pacing must be insane.
