I do know it often gets windy there- I mean why wouldn’t it be? But studios and especially people like the Coen Brothers leave nothing to chance. I would honestly be shocked if they didn’t use a fan. It’s very tough shooting scenes when you need weather and you can’t control it. You can control a fan to do exactly what you need to accomplish. I haven’t seen any behind the scenes images from this shooting local but I would bet it looked like any other outdoor shot, full of lighting, cameras and at least 30 crew members on site. This was a multimillion dollar movie after all. The wind doesn’t always perform when you call action and delays kill budgets more than anything
