This is some ridiculous shit that could easily be made into some zany movie, or show, something in this vein of ridiculousness. Six digit sum over some Lego? Oh wow.
Then again it wasn't just Lego, there was also stuff like Pokemon, Barbie, Hello Kitty (!) and Thomas and so on.
Still, knowing this place, perhaps there's another side to this story that this article alone isn't telling us? Can never be sure these days. Or maybe the story is this simple for once, and I'm just overthinking it because I browse this subreddit too much.

Stealing toys has been a pretty common crime business for a long time. They're very easy to resell once you've stolen them.
