Went over to my grandpas house after not seeing him for a while and he showed me his guns I liked this one and he said he would give it to me
Anyone know what type of gun I couldn’t find it for the life of me ( I just know it’s a colt)

Colt mustang government 380, you can look up the serial on colts serial search and it will give you the date of manufacture and the exact model

It’s a full-size Colt Mustang in .380 ACP.
There also sub-compacts called Colt Mustang Pocketlites in .380.
It looks like a 1911 yet isn’t a 1911 mechanically.
They’re SUPER neat.
